I don't post much. I read a lot in here but can't post elsewhere as I don't have enough posts to post in different section. I started on disposables, then eblu, then ego-c, and now vamo...been maybe 4 months since switch...but still cheat from time to time.

From now on I'll probably be using disposable, eblue, or real cig in the car. I was using vamo with tank that had a metal drip tip. Guy cut in front of me and I had to slam on breaks...it was super icy last Thursday. The tank had a metal drip tip and it jammed into my front tooth. I chipped the lower left corner maybe 1/8th of front top right tooth in the lower left corner of the tooth. No idea what that is going to cost to repair. It is noticeable but not horribly bad. Really only family members noticed.

I'm probably going to wait to make appointment but next time I'm in for my 6 month cleaning I'll ask about it. Anyway just wanted to pass along the word that it's probably not safe to do any activities using a metal drip tip where sudden stop is possible. I've saved maybe 400$ since switching but think this is going to cost me a pretty penny.

Try plastic tips. I haven't chipped a tooth but I do work in some pretty inhospitable environments and just a couple weeks ago I was out working on my load, it was well below freezing (22 degrees) and I grabbed my 134 with my Fogger V2/3 with the stock stainless drip tip which had been sitting outside in the cold. Well I'm still re-growing the skin that I removed from both lips as I tore the tip off. Remember Christmas Story and the dreaded light pole?? Not a financial expense like yours but I now have plastic tips on all my equipment.

I quit using the plastic ego-c tanks that came with starter kit because they leak too much. After looking in mirror it's probably 1/16 to 1/32 of tooth. It's really not that bad. I just recall slamming on breaks last Thursday and hitting my tooth. And family member pointed it out today and I put 2 and 2 together...don't know when else it could have happened. But yeah should probably use something softer when driving...probably one of those 1/1,000 issues just happend to be vaping when I needed to slam on breaks.

Sorry to hear that happened, Ishknock. Your warning is a good one - and it's possible that could have happened even with a plastic drip tip. Lucky it didn't go in your eye or something! Someone I knew lost control and skidded off a country road - a toothpick that was in the visor managed to get imbedded in his body in the process!

Anyway, I chipped my front tooth almost exactly where you did about a year ago - although not involving vaping....like you said, it is hardly noticeable and I just had the sharp edge filed smooth. But then, I'm no longer young and not terribly concerned with looks anymore! I imagine there goes your $400 savings from quitting smoking - but were you still smoking, you wouldn't have saved that much anyway! Good luck!

If it is the PTII you can switch out the drip tip.....
Sorry to hear you had a Driving while Vaping incident.....

Switch out the PTII drip tip when I amd out and about,
use the metal one when at home, behind the keyboard.......

Not to make lite of the situation,
but the tooth repair will be less $$ in the long run,
than the analog usage.

I hope so. I called but they were closed. I'll probably just wait until April as I think that's my next 6 month appointment. Hopefully they can either round it off or add a bit of tooth to make it less noticeable. My main point was just to send an FYI out to other vapors just to be cautious. I've had no issues at desk, at home, mowing, etc. Just be carefull when you are in a vehicle with a sudden stop.

Hopefully it won't cost me too much to fix. It really is not that noticeable but is noticeable to family members. I guess they know what my smile looks like. I'll let you all know in a few months next dentist checkup. I'm hoping it's under $500.

I strongly urge against the real cig in the car idea. However, only you can decide if it's worth it or not. That said, maybe you should look into something like the Joyetech eRoll. I suggest this because I had a similar incident about a week ago, but thankfully no chipped teeth. I had a plastic drip tip on my PT2, but I don't think that is what saved my teeth, the plastic hit just as hard as metal (or at least it felt like it). Ideally, a much softer (rubber?) tip would be good, but I have never seen one like that.

It did get me thinking though, and I decided that I needed to re-look at other options when driving. I *think* I have settled on the eRoll, mostly because it is small and lightweight, so I think I can leave it hanging out of my mouth like a real cig. I tried this when I first started vaping with my starter kit, but the batteries were too heavy and uncomfortable, but since then, the eRoll has come out and is even lighter weight than my original starter kit, so it might work.

For me, the ideal vaping device for the car would be one that looked and felt like a true cigarette. That is the one thing I truly miss about smoking, is the feel of the cigarette between my teeth. If some company could get that right, in a rechargeable form factor, then I would definitely buy it. The nJoy King is almost perfect, sadly it's a disposable and I had too many problems with them working for only a few minutes. I did get a couple that lasted quite a while, but they were the exception to the rule. Anyway, the point here is that if someone made a nJoy King styled RECHARGEABLE e-cig AND a nice soft "filter" feeling cartomizer, I would buy that system. Hell, I would buy almost any system that came out with a carto that *felt* like a cigarette filter.

I think I got sidetracked and have rambled on too long ... Good luck with your tooth!

Take my advice: When driving get yourself a lanyard. This way you can let go your ecig safely for you and your teeth!

Yeah I have 2 lanyards that actually should be in the mail when I get home...think I ordered it last Thursday so pretty quick delivery. Tracking number indicates that it's out for delivery in my town so should be there when I get home. Never orderd from them but got it from Mom and Pop Vapor Shop online. Was the only place that I could find that made one for an ego and a larger sized one for a vamo.

Leather Lanyard $3.50
Mega Leather Lanyard $4.50
Pchela's Famous 5 Layer (Nicotine Level: 18mg, Size: 30ml) $15.00

I didn't need any juice but of course I had to give one of their juices a try. Don't know what it is but I liked the picture and I like caramel so hopefully it's good ;)

I agree of the disposables njoy is probably my favorite. Nice soft tip. I like to bite things too which probably isn't a good thing with a metal drip tip. I haven't had any duds with those...they are just too expensive for me to use all the time...plus I'm really starting to like non tobacco flavors.
