I work from home so I'm vaping all day which severely dehydrates me. I got this for my birthday, https://www.brevilleusa.com/beverages/kettles-tea-makers/the-tea-maker.html and I have to say that I am drinking more liquids then ever before and it's extremely easy to use and the tea is absolutely perfect. Of course, water works well too but a little flavor and caffeine is a plus. Since I just set it 'n forget it, I pretty much have a constant supply of warm (hot if I chose so) tea available. I was a huge coffee drinker (also have the Nespresso machine) but since getting the Breville I hardly drink coffee anymore. Anyway, just wanted to share with everyone that finds themselves dehydrated and finds water boring.

NICE, i am still going to stick with my Tassimo Suprema from Bosch though, i love the cappuccino's frorm it, also it does teas and coffes and other hot beverages. but if i hadnt won 2 of them off facebook earlier this year id probably pick one of those up. im currently working on a keurig to go with my assortment of coffee pots, 1 full size pot(cusineart), 1 personal Senseo pod brewer(hamilton beach) and my tassimo

Way out of my price range but would be perfect for herbal teas.... herbal teas are more touching about temperature (the oils evaporating, thermal breakdown of component chemicals) plus the lid helps keep the oils and vapors in.

*lol* drink 10 gallons of water a day if you drink a 1:1 water to coffee ratio.

The deal where you're supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day. It was actually 8 glasses of fluid. Juice, water, whatnot. The dehydration from drinking caffeinated beverages is because it acts as a diacritic making you pee out fluids. It's not all that bad dehydration wise.... but than again something with no caffeine would be better.

I like what my grandfather used to say about all those medical studies. Oh they said this. Wait a month and someone with a different study will say the opposite thing.

That's a good idea, and a nice product. I also have the Nespresso, and the SB Barista, but I'm not drinking as much coffee now as I used to. I've also been drinking more tea, but I just heat the water in the microwave and drop in a tea bag (and some milk). At least it does have some taste, rather than plain boring water. About the only time water tastes great to me is when I'm hiking and using a camelbak. I guess I could wear the camelbak around the house, but it would make sitting in a chair a little more difficult. :)

In the past, when I would make tea by hand I would drop the tea into the boiling water and forget about it. Come back about 15 minutes later and the tea would taste _way_ strong. It's as if with this machine I'm tasting tea for the first time and consistently. I bought some teavana white tea (which is pretty gentle and, brewed at 175 degrees) and it's amazing. Like a vitamin water type flavor minus the massive amount of sugar.
