For a rda, you don't need to thin vg, but you can if wanted. If you need pg is a matter of preference. You mentioned throathit, but in a rda it's usuallly not that difficult to get throathit even without pg, since usually you run at a higher wattage(as the usually higher airflow permits, plus multi-coil capability). Adding some water can also help with the throathit, but you just need to experiment some and see what you like in terms of pg and water etc.

Buying nic in 36mg is usually cheaper when dilluted down, and is more flexible with regards to pg/vg ratio, water and nic amount, but again, a personal preference thing...

I dripped some straight VG in my Velocity RDA just to see how it would wick.
It wicked fine but had 0 throat hit.
I thought I was done with TH at 3mg 70VG but straight VG with 0 nic showed me I like a tiny bite.

I made 100ml of 3mg Max VG unflavored.
I used 5% distilled water and that wicks fine in my Crown tank.
It's also fine in my RDA and has that tiny bit of "bite" that straight VG is missing.

Again, you probably won't need to thin VG to drip it.

.... I'm going to get 36mg nic vg simple math to get me down to 3mg ........
I'm not sure if you were asking about the math or not, but anyways, eJuice Me Up gives me 55ml of 0mg to each 5ml of 36mg for 3mg. To keep it slightly more simple but not exactly 3mg, 10ml of 0mg to each 1ml of 36mg gives 3.27mg and 10 to 1 is pretty easy to remember.

Agreed, When I tried to get off nic awhiles back I had to go to up to 3. Surprised at the difference it makes. I guess 3mg/ml @ 4-5ml per day is quite like nothing at all.

Nowadays everyone's on 3mg, but I guess a cloud chaser @30ml per day is getting much more of a significant nic intake.

I'm getting less nic now with 20ml+ @ 3mg than I did when I vaped 4-5ml of 18mg in an Evod.
Even less than when I vaped 8-10ml of 12mg in a Nautilus.

I tried 6mg in my first subtank, got dizzy and felt sick within a few minutes so made some 4mg.
I tried 2mg for a while but I like the taste of 3mg better.

I'm not concerned about nic intake but I seem to have found my comfortable range.

If I were vaping unflavored, for simplicity AND savings, I would get some 100mg nic and mix 100 mL batches. 3 mL of 100mg nic in a 100 ml batch would be 3 mg/ml. The nic is usualy the most expensive component in juice, so if you get the strongest nic and use a tiny bit of it, you will save a lot of money. :2c:

I just figured my 100ml of 3mg Max VG costs 13.5 cents for the nic.
same 100ml using FW or MBV flavoring at 22% flavoring Max VG 3mg strength - flavoring is about $1
Nicotine is way cheaper than it used to be for very good nic from Heartland or Vapers Tek TH.
Especially when I'm at 3mg :thumb:

I'm getting 2 liters of 100mg/ml in VG this time so I can shave another 3% PG out of my mix.
I do like flavors so I'll be hunting VG based flavoring & super-high concentration flavorings

I'm pretty used to unflavored after about 60 hours straight and it's not unpleasant at all.
I do love my flavored vapes though.

I've been looking into stronger/more concentrated flavorings. Found Hangsen and Inawera. Placed my first order and waiting on vape mail now. They are about twice the cost per ml of my TFA flavors, but if I can use 5% instead of 20% it will still be cheaper. Still haven't tried unflavored because I always forget to mix up a batch when I'm making juice. Lol!
