It's all about the nic liquid that has been affectionately named several things by the people that bought it. I would have bought some from him too, but I had just placed a good sized order from him two weeks before he got it in

Quite a few people expressed their opinion there, including Levy himself and several ECF members who know what they're doing in the DIY area.

I went to extreemvapor last night and was kinda freaked out by the entire “Pink Tinted” juice thing.

After throwing out a bottle of juice, and not really knowing what “Unflavored” should look or taste like, you can see why I was weirded out by Pink Juice!

I went back and did a search and found the thread about “Pink Tinted” juice. Read the entire thread and it seemed that Levy is a Very honest seller with a very loyal following. I liked what he said about anyone having a problem, that he would refund or replace, with shipping paid BOTH ways, any juice that he sold. So went back to his site and ordered a 60ml bottle of 50mg PG and a 60ml bottle of 50mg VG.

I’ll be honest with you though, there was 2 or 3 members posting in that "Pink Tinted" thread that were completely intolerant of anyone questioning anything to do with Levy or his juice. One member in particular was replying 30 seconds after anyone posted anything but intense praise and ridiculed them for not excepting on blind faith that everything was perfect. I didn’t want to enter into that fray with even a simple question.

That is the reason I brought it up here.

Not Naming Names but I will say this…

I didn’t see anything in that thread that I considered too be slamming XtreemVapor or the guy named Levy. What I did see was some people that were belligerent to the point of hostility and Unrelenting towards anyone who wasn’t waving a big flag that said “I Love XtreemVapor”.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a debate. Heck, I love a good argument sometimes. Forums like this would be kinda bland if everyone agreed with everyone. But that “Pink Tinted” thread wasn’t something I didn’t wanted to get involved in.

A wonder how many other people, like myself, had Legitimate Questions and or Insights and did not chime in because of the tone of that thread?

I pretty new here myself, but I have noticed that sometimes feathers get ruffled, but that it usually smooths itself out.

Don't be intimidated to ask, just about every one here is pretty friendly and there will always be a few disagreements here and there, and I don't blame you for shying away. I would too.

Read through some of the post for DIY supplies and you'll learn a lot and have no problem finding new vendors. I read through this entire section before I tried anything DIY, I was a little intimidated, but then I decided it was reasonable enough to try.

Next step for me, experiments with voltage

I only do things for my business on the ecf. I have seen how the other forums are, they might be a little more open minded to new companies, but this is the forum I started on and it is the only one I use.
Yea this forum is to crazy on the fanboys.
I have even seen people that were to the point that it looked like they would be lynched if it was a face to face, due to the fanboys of their fav suppliers.
Don't let it get to you. If ya have questions like ya did on the juice it is better to do it on their thread/forum and deal with the fanboys.
There is 2 to 3 peeps that will answer ya to every fanboy flame ya get.

I'm no one's fanboy but will openly defend any reputable vendor that gets slammed with innuendo. Nuf said. I'm not here to win a popularity contest.

Never thought of ya as a fanboy switch. I have seen you defend the flamers and the flamed. You seem to side with those ya seem as right.
No I have seen in a few vendors forums one person say that they didn't "CARE FOR" this flavor. Not this vendor sucks or even this flavor sucks, and they were set on like a rabbit in a dog pen.
That is the only thing that does bug me about this forum. Other then that I have met a lot of good peeps.

I hear ya DW. It is too bad this politically correct site does not publicise age the age of the user below their avi, then at least we would have a better idea of the age group of some of these comments. In retrospect it is not really needed, it is pretty transparent.

I have never bought from Levy. All my unflavored is MFS or VTvapor, and I'm stocked for a long time. That said, as a chemist, I have great respect for Levy. He has worked closely with several chemists here to make sure his juice is as pure and true as it gets. He could charge more for such excellence, but he doesn't. As for product, costumer service, and scientific rigor, he is about as good as it gets here, and then some. The pink has been discussed and is not an issue at all, as far as us professionals can tell. It is likely just a form of trace oxides that formed in a particular way for that particular solution. The pink is no worries. My 8 mg unflavored juices I make will go pink after a week or so. Not an issue. Many vanilla juices will do the same. It is likely from trace oxides interacting with the vanillin, or each other, nothing more. Trace compounds that are charged (oxides) and colored in thick liquids can take on a variety of colors, depending on concentration, solubilities, ion-pairing, and other effects, none of which imply an actual reaction to make something new. In one solution they are yellow. In another solution they are pink.

If Levy is selling the pink stuff for a discount, and you need high-nic juice, I would get it. In fact, I would get it, but I don't need any more unflavored just now.

BTW – And I know I am going to regret this! What does age have to do with any of this? I know some pretty stupid people that are older than me. Unflavored is unflavored. All unflavored means is that flavoring is not added. Unflavored water still has a taste which varies from place to place. So I'm a bit confused about your question except to note you had some bad nic juice and think???

When my sons would ask if the milk was bad, I'd ask if it tasted bad. If they said yes or no, I told them that was their answer.

Will you taste something vaping it alone, probably since your atty and cart are not completely tasteless themselves. And it is highly dependant on how heightened your sense of taste/smell is.

Now on to more threadjacking: I mixed up 2 batches of the same flavor last weekend. One used the remainder of an older bottle of nic that showed signs of oxidation and the other was with Levy's pink tinted nic. They look different, but taste the same. (2 different finished nic strengths)

Which is a good thing as this is a recently perfected recipe and I am really enjoying it. Thought I would share it with some of my vaping friends, but now think they can kiss off cuz I'm keeping it all.

I might as well chime in here. I agree that unflavored means that no extra flavoring is added.

To me, unflavored PG does have a taste on it's own, as does VG. The thing is after you vape something for a while you get used to the taste and thus don't taste it anymore. Same thing goes when you smell something over a period of time, you get used to it after a while. Example being that people living close to a paper mill don't smell it. But if anyone else goes to a town that has a paper mill, it smells god awfull to them.

I vape mostly VG and when I drip a few drops of a PG based juice on my atty, I really taste the PG.

Well, I got it From "The Bear Juice" but they dont exist anymore unfortunately.
