Just been making a few batches of different recipes I've been playing with (will chuck em on another post n see what you all think)
but at the same time I made a couple batches of 80/20 unflavoured for when I get vape tongue or just want a break from flavours (and to keep my Atlantis going)
my question is this, do I need to let it stand for any time? I know it doesn't need steeped as there are no flavours to mix in but does it need some time for the nicotine base to mix through it properly?

If it's 80VG/20PG you speak of a little heat and a good shaking is all you need to do. Put it in some warm water let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes then shake it up good. The idea is to heat it to thin the VG so it mixes well.

I actually sit my bottle of vg in very hot water when I'm making mixes (makes it easier to pull through a needle and syringe) so when I make my juice the vg is pretty hot as its being mixed

If your container has enough room for a good mixing action then all you need is a good shaking in my experience.

If I mix a full 30 ml bottle for example I suck it all out into a 60 ml syringe and fill the rest of the syringe with air and shake the crap out of it..then squirt it back in the bottle.

Done.

I do this for both my *standard* vapes... 45/55 unflavored and 45/55 Menthol/Mint

Doesn't a hot liquid throw your calculations off because of expansion? Liquid at 150 degrees may shrink considerably when it goes down to room temp.

I expect it depends on the nicotine source/strength that you are using.

It makes sense to keep a bottle (or few) of premixed 80/20 with nicotine ready as a base so you don't have to about the nicotine needing to steep.
