I'm not sure if this link will work, but here's a variation on the above:
Unicorn Milk the TFA way | Bakery/Dessert Recipes
The beauty of DIY is that you get to tweak the components to get it the way YOU like it. Try a couple of these recipes and then tweak to your preferred level. I hang out in the TFA
thread, and Bill's Magic Vapor offers a TON of advice. One thing I'll suggest to you is to follow his "100DT" (100 Drop Test) mixing method. Take a recipe and set yourself up such that each percentage point of flavoring equates to one drop (yes, fractional percentages will be tricky) and then flush out the rest of the 100 drops as your PG/VG/Nic. You should end up with somewhere between 3-5mL of a mix. Test this (on an
rda or in a
tank) to get an idea of what you like. Then, if you think something's too "x-flavoring heavy", mix up another 100DT with less x-flavor and/or more supporting flavorings. KEEP GOOD NOTES! If you hit on your magical mix, and you didn't write anything down, you won't remember what you did to make the larger batch.
If you need to divide a flavoring into a smaller proportion because it's calling for less than 1%, you can dilute with PG or VG as follows:
If something calls for 0.2%, mix 2 drops of the flavoring and 8 drops of PG together. Then take ONE DROP of that to reflect the appropriate fractional percentage called for by the original recipe.
Part of the presumption of this is that your drop sizes are all the same. So, if you're using a pipette for one liquid, and a drop-top bottle for another, they may not be the same sized drop and therefore will skew the percentages....
Good Luck!
