I can purchase an unprotected battery right now. And being Sat morning and in a little town in the middle of no where its my only chancr to get one right now.

No I stressed my concern about it being unprotected to the shop owner and he said if it does concern me then he can fit a circuit protector to it. Which brings me to question.

The battery for my ego has failed. I have one spare left that is still working ok though.

This battery is the normal ego type with a little cute 3.7V battery. It has a circuit board with led switch etc.

If I use this battery with this circuit board etc does that circuit board not offer same protection?

That is what I have. If I fit that battery to same pcb will that offer me some protection etc?

Thanks!

I wouldn't touch this question with a 10 foot pole.

It sounds like you are trying to "mod" an ego battery. Unless you entirely know what you are doing, I wouldn't try this. Just by the fact that you are asking "can you do this" tells me you don't know what you are doing.

The battery clearly shows it is an ICR battery. ICR batteries are no longer recommended for use with e-cigarettes or mods. ICR batteries use a volatile chemistry, which means if the battery fails catastrophically they can vent with flames and possibly explode.

I symphathize with your remote location, but safety should always come first. Order some safe batteries online.
