Shamus (fmmfl here on the ECF) recently contacted me regarding his new vaping venture, Unsmoke. He has put together a good start to a store and invited me to try some of his liquid flavors. A few days later a Priority Mail package arrived with seven samples, all in 50%PG/50%PG blend.
The bottles were labeled with nicely printed labels that show no signs of falling off easily. After giving each of them a try, I can say that Shamus is on the right track and mixes good, flavorful e-liquids. There is just the right amount of flavor in all of them and throat hit is very good. These were sweet flavors, but none were too sweet or overwhelming. Good vapor production is expected in a 50/50 mix and these mixes didn't disappoint; vapor production is excellent.
The Peach Cobbler, Cinnamon Roll and Blueberry Muffin were my favorites of the seven. The Peach Cobbler has very pleasing mix of peach and pastry flavors and the Blueberry Muffin was great as well, although I might like it with just a touch more blueberry. The Cinnamon Roll tasted exactly as a cinnamon roll should, and that's a good thing.
Banana Nut Bread and Banana Split followed suit and their flavors seemed to me to be exactly what theirs names implied. I liked these flavors and that was a pleasant surprise, as they would not have been high on my list of flavors to try.
The final two, Cake Batter and Creme de Menthe were not that thrilling to me. The cake batter because it just didn't seem to have a very well defined flavor and the Creme de Menthe because, well, I just don't care for creme de menthe! I can see these being very enjoyable vapes for those who like the flavors, though.
Their pricing is competitive on liquids and reasonable on hardware. Priority Mail service is the only shipping option at $5.25, which again is reasonable if not exciting. All in all, Unsmoke seems to be off to a fine start in producing some good quality e-liquid and they should make a nice addition to the list of quality vendors.
