It will slowly decharge over time. It's a condition of lion batts. They leak their charge over time- measured I believe in months.

According to the specification it's not good to totally let one discharge to *nothing* by storing it a long time without a charge (6 months?). I'd give them a charge from time to time if stored for long periods.

What about new ones that have never been used? Should they be charged from time to time? maybe once every 6 months? I have 6 regular 510 batteries and I've only used 2, I always have one charging while the other is in use. I have a second regular wall charger and a PCC so I could charge 3 batteries at once if I ever needed to.
