Here's the deal. Turns out we were all wrong, the green led does mean that it's done charging. Read this

Anyway, my 510 battery charges in an hour and a half and goes green. It should take 3 hours no matter what since the battery controls the charge switch and all the battery's all use 3.7 volt battery's. It's been discussed that it should take roughly 2-3 hours, not 1 and a half in my case to go green.
So, I have damaged cells in my battery and am losing precious time per charge cycle me thinks. No battery should charge that quick. Let me know if you have similar results with your 510 from red to green if you have the chance.
