When i first started vaping I went a little overboard on the stuff I bought. Now I find myself vaping with the same tools on a daily basis. I have so many things in my boxes that I have never used..........kinda annoys me knowing I have money sat there doing nothing when I have been a little short on cash lately lol.................

Are there any other vapers out there who find themselves in a similar position? I did consider selling but I want to get another pv in the future that I will be able to use all this stuff on. I'm down to 3 or 4 possible pv's that I want.............Provari is the leader of the pack at the moment but it costs a bit. But i def want something that takes batteries as I'm always on edge with the Riva batteries going dead on me...............though for ease of changing the voltage the Provari is appealing but only has 1 year warranty, where as the Provape has a lifetime warranty...........Maybe the GGTB might appeal more...........decisions decisions lol

I haven't really looked into the eclipse, but will do now you've mentioned it lol. tbh im quite stubborn with my stuff, the way i see it is there will come a day when im thankful i have a £20 pass through that i've never used, or 5 packs of unused cartomizers, atty's that came with starter kits that have barely been used...............but that day wasn't yesterday lol. one bad day of batteries or tank atty's going dead on me and i have a back-up that isn't an analog! also if i buy a more reliable pv that uses rechargeable batteries all this stuff will come into play, though i do see myself using lots of adapters to use a tank atty on them lol

I have a few items after 2 months of vaping. The only thing I do not use anymore is the first piece of crap PV I got back in December before i had found this site and knew better. (No.7 with a PCC for it). I would not dream of selling or giving that thing to anybody (can you tell I have a VERY low opinion of it? LOL) I only used it for a week. Poor performance and bad taste. Plus one atty was DOA and I got no help from tech support.

I have a Provari and a box mod as well as the 510 kit that really got me started (got the PCC for the 510 too). I also have an eGo 1000ma battery and tank atties. I use all of these. The mods are for at home while the others are for out and about.

We all need back up gear. Personally I have some eGo's left over and rarely use them, 3 new batt's and 2 used ones so I'm in the same boat. You like your Riva's now, but if you get a good mod with good batt's those Riva's just aren't going to do it for you anymore. They pack a punch like a wet kitten compared to an HV device.

If you have stuff you dont want you can always join PIF and trade or give stuff. There are always newer vapers that would love to try something different or have a need for an item that you are no longer using.Sell the big stuff in the classys yes,but you can always help someone else out with unwanted juices or small supplies that you dont use/need anymore.Just something to think about. It feels good to help out other vapers sometimes!

You would be surprised how much you will end up using. When you are not getting what you need from one the others will come in handy. Same with atomizer set ups. This is what I have and use about all of them by rotating.. Some days I like the mega cartos and other times I want to drip...

also not pictured is my 808 passthru.

Provari all the way, provape also offers a 2yr warranty on the Provari for a little extra

I did my best to avoid that position. My first kit was a pretty overpriced 510 with PCC. It got the job done and got me off analogs, but within a few weeks I bought an ego kit half the price of the 510 kit. So now my 510 kit has been collecting dust, but im holding onto it as a backup while I wait for my first mod.

I have a provari on order that will hopefully be shipping out soon. From all the research I have done variable voltage is definitely the way to go. It gives you the most flexibility in your vaping. You can alter the voltage to hit that sweet spot on any atty or carto that you have. A 1 year warranty is pretty decent in my opinion. to get a guaranteed year out of the device is pretty solid piece of mind. They also have the option of purchasing a 1 year extended warranty for another $25 I believe. I have also heard that they will repair a device that is out of warranty and I'm sure that would be a lot more cost effective than buying a new device. I ordered mine with 2 18490 batteries and charger for just shy of $200 (about the price of those crazy mall kiosk kits!)

The infinity is another option of VV on the cheap. It comes in around $100 i believe. There's no digital display like the provari as it just has a manual adjustment. From what I recall you dont need a screwdriver or anything, it has some kind of dial that you adjust. You would need a voltmeter if you wanted to know the actual volts you are vaping at.

The other hot ticket for mods right now seem to be the bottom fed devices. Check out the Reo grand/mini or the Ali'i. They are both raved about here on ECF and very appealing for those who are into dripping. There are a few others as well. Also, like eclipse that was mentioned, there are mods that are combining bottom feeders with variable voltage. You can also get the ali'i in a VV version as well for an extra cost.

One other state of the art mod I hear about a lot is the Darwin. This take variable voltage to a new level by allowing you to dial in the actual wattage. It constantly monitors the ohms of your atty/carto and adjusts the volts automatically to keep a consistent wattage. As attys degrade their output drops off. The Darwin will automatically adjust to give you the same hit over and over again. You may be interested in checking that out as well, though it is even more pricy.

Another thing to keep in mind is that most of the mods I have mentioned have considerable lead times. Its looking like 3 weeks for the provari, I've heard 4+ weeks for the ali'i (not to mention you only have a small window of opportunity to even place your order). There is definitely a huge demand for advanced PVs like these and certainly a short supply. But do your research and find the device that seems most appealing to you. Based on what people think of most/all of these mods you really cant go wrong. There are some really talented vendors/modders out there doing really excellent work. Good luck and vape on!

I have leftover 510 stuff I lend out to friends that want to try vaping.

The key to getting it back is don't give them the battery charger with the other stuff!View attachment 30134

I have turned a few friends onto vaping doing this.

I do that too!!I lend it to them for a week, then they can decide if they want to do it or not.Its a great way to intro people to it.

so i've spent the whole day looking at pv's.................there are so many but I keep coming back to the same ones. But i have made a definite decision, one i made a while back but a) it was out of stock all the time, b) cost and c) other advanced pv's were hitiing the market that i liked the look of. But i'm definitely going to get a GGTS. Although it doesn't have the ease of use in terms of variable voltage it just has so much quality. looks great. i want something that looks good, not just a tube, my riva and tornado t does that job perfectly.

If I would have just bought a 3.7 volt 510 box mod and batteries right off I woulden't have leftover stuff!

I must admit I think I will agree with this when I get something different. I looked at the box mod when getting into e-cigs but the look of it doesn't appeal to me. look, ease of use and storage are important to me. the riva and tornado fit nicely into a carry case. when i do get a decent mod it will be mainly for home use and my riva or tornado for use on the go.

I just go for function and battery life, the box mod is cheap and the batt lasts all day~ at least as I haven't had one go dead on me yet.

I carry a roughstack in the saddlebag of my motorcycle for the same reason, but also for the fact it is a tough unit that can take the abuse.

Luckily there is a mod for whatever look or function you are after!~:thumb:
