What you should have them do is remove that damn plug over the cup completely and replace with an o-ring that is trimmed so its just sealing around the edge of the cup (Mindfield"s Fluxo mod). This what I do with my Fluxos and never have any issues with leaking and they perform great, easy to clean, and last a long time! The Fluxos do seem to have some oily substance on coil and cup right out of the pack. Guessing they do that so they can jam the cup seal on easier. Its not VG or PG because when it burns it leaves a sticky black residue on the coil and inner part of the cup and taste is horrible. So before I use a brand new one I remove the tubing and place the wicks/cup,coil in 91% alcohol for a few mins and then allow the alc to evaporate completely assemble, quick dry burn and vape. I am so happy with the Fluxos I haven't even wanted to try the newer top coil cartos you are now carrying.

Just got a pack of the regular 808's... dang they are dinky little things compared to the XLs. Work great! (minus the yucky taste!)

I especially like the new foam insert they're packed in. I'd like to see them used for other GV products... maybe a line of small hard plastic carrying cases customized for the various sizes?

 well I got mine and I had a heck of a time trying to get the rings and such out. Finally got all but the cup seal ring. Just about shredded the first one trying to get it off. Then I saw the little holes in it for filling. *facepalm*

Got it all put together and so far so great! Gonna check out the modding vids, but they seem perfect so far. Flavors a little muted but I haven't broken them in.

This seems as good a thread to hijack over a thing like this as any: I'm in possession of an XL 2.6-2.8Ω 5-pack.

I'm a career dripper, have found even the best of cartos to be no better than acceptable. My only CE-2 experience is a year downstream, a traumatic misadventure with clearomizers I procured from Volcano. It's taken this long to recover emotionally to the degree needed to give these sort of things another try.

I'm itching to do just that, but I've hit an unexpected snag: I can't for the life of me coax the inner ring out of the tube. I've tried every long, skinny object I have at my disposal; it won't budge. Is there brain surgery that comes into play, or am I missing something?

I've encountered a few that seemed to be stuck in place, so I usually just resort to removing the tube from the base.

The best tool I have found is a dental scaler. Either a professional grade, or one you can get at Walgreens or CVS. he trick is to hook the cup seal above the wick, by finding one of the slots where the wicks enter the ceramic cup. You will feel the slot when you hit it with the scaler. Hook the cup seal at that place, above the wick, and pull up and out. Once you do one, it will become second nature.

If you have the CE2s with the black plugs, they start out really stuck in there. Try putting a little juice in there and work it between the plug and the tube using a safety pin or something like that. My preferred method of removing the plug is to use a needle awl (like a safety pin, but easier). Stick it in the tiny holes for the syringe needles and pry upwards, switching back and forth between the two holes. I've had the best luck avoiding damaging the plug by using this method.

Excellent advice; all of you are officers and gentlemen.

I'm hampered by ignorance of the internal architecture of these things, an enigma almost as complete as female genitalia on the night I lost my virginity. I'm thinking Randyrtx's tube removal is step one, if only to familiarize myself with Rule62's description of slots, and where they enter ceramic cups (I don't even know what a dental scaler is, for God's sake).

OMG ROFL
Good luck, PI...the first time I pulled an inner plug I though "Wow, this is so easy, I have no idea why other people are having issues!"
On the next two I broke the ceramic cup. :(
I'm using one of those tiny skewers that come with a turkey trussing kit.

Yes, the tube removal is the easiest. But I must say... how dare you only be trying these now??? For all I have talked about the Fluxomizer, during every daily discussion, while hijacking threads... There will be no tea and crumpets for you tomorrow at noon! I am not sure about 4PM, yet!

Need I remind you, LD, of my long ago, far away, horrific ingestion of incinerated wick into my lungs? The fried contents of the bottom of a cat box didn't appeal to me—so much so, that even your ebullience didn't tempt me back into Dante's Inferno. Not very easily, anyway. Now I'm stuck with a boxful of the things after a year's absence, and don't know my own ... from an "inner ring." Gimme a break.

Understood. I know that you will be contemplating for hours. Is it an ...? Is it an inner ring? Such decisions can not only allow for the ultimate vape; they can also make firing your Fluxo, an unpleasant experience on your back side. Please, take your time, my friend. The tea shall wait.

if you have luck with that its a good solution, but on these latest ones, doing that more often than not breaks the wires that connects to the cup. i could do that no problem with the original clearomizers. i even broke the wires on one just trying to pull the seal out. now i pretty much just shred the thing until it comes out so no risk of pulling the cup up and breaking the wires.
