I have an ego and I'd like to upgrade (today). I am very very confused. If anyone can make some suggestions I'd be grateful.

Here is what I'd like in a mod:

1. Easy to draw/hit off of.
(I have to pull too hard with my ego and yes I've tried lr and regular attys)

2. Bigger throat hit, bigger clouds, more taste

3. Easy to assemble and care for.
(No having to know complex mechanical engineering but I'd like to be able to service it if it breaks 5 years from now in event of ecig apocolpyse.)

4. Nice looking
Subjective I know.. but I don't want it to look like a jailhouse mod if possible.

5. Available on a reputable website right now.

6. Option to buy the mod and all it's accessories at the same time (batteries, charger, attys, etc)

I was considering a silver bullet, omega, v3, glv or buzz but I'm not sure which fulfills my qualifications and really need suggestions even if not in my short list.

Questions:

1. can you please tell me what type of atomizers and such I should buy with whatever mod you suggest. Some things I've read say that higher voltage mods blow out 501's and I know nothing about any other atomizer/cart accessorings.

2. Omega/Silver bullet are 3.7. Isn't my ego a 3.7? Is there a 110+ dollar difference?

Thank you! I want to order this morning if possible so hellllllppp please :)

ProVape.com has a really nice mod. Built very well. At the moment it is a 3.7 (they are working on a variable voltage) I would at least look at their site to see what you think. You can use LT or reg atties. If you like cartos, they have very good LR cartos as well as the regular. Oh, they have outstanding customer service.

I have said it in many threads and I will say it in this one as well. The BUZZ is a great PV. I have the ego, wetbox, little sister, aloha mod and 3 Buzz's. The Buzz runs off 2 16340 batteris and at 4.5 volts I get almost 2 days off a set of batteries and I vape over 3 mls a day. It is VV so you can set it whereever you want for whatever juice you want to achieve whatever hit you want.

Notcig.com is a GREAT company. The Buzz comes with a 6 month guarantee. If you do have to send it in--he literally will fix it in like a day and send it right back. His customer service is top notch. He sells his perfect units for 115 I believe and his imperfect ones for 80. The guarantee of 6 months carries the same on both.

I honestly LOVE this PV...i use it everywhere. At work, out, at home, driving....everywhere!

I also use the standard 510 cartos on mine. With a lighter color juice I can get anywhere from a 1.5-2 weeks on one. Now darker juices (such as Geoff's Blend from Tasty Vapor) are a little harder on my carto's. I dont change cartos out or flavors for that matter. So I will stick with one flavor for a week or two. So when I put a carto on--thats the only one I use til I discard of it. Only saying the last part to give a little more insight to vaping style.

If you have any questions shoot buzzkill http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/members/22046/buzzkill.html (he makes them) a pm...I know he will be more than happy to help you!

I will also give you this info...the ego isint a true 3.7 device. So you will notice a difference if you do decide to go with a 3.7 PV such as the OMEGA or Silver Bullet

With the Silver bullet you will have the option of vaping at 3.7 or 6v. Yes your ego is 3.7. The SB is made like a tank and it has a 6 month warranty with it. But it is bigger than your ego. You can get attachments for your atty of choice.

Altsmoke.com has them it's $85 for the SB then you need to get batteries and a charger. That should be around another $30.
Good luck and keep us posted of your decision.

The ego is in fact 3.0-3.1volts, with an LR atty, the experience should in theory be very similar to a 3.7 volt device. If you are looking for a mod, I would recommend either a variable voltage device, or a wetbox style mod. This advice is not based on experience, so take it with a grain of salt, but from what I have read and seen, those are the two things I would like to try the most. If I was going to go with a mod, it would almost definitely be variable voltage.

There are only a few reasons to upgrade from an eGo...
1- Battery Life...
2- Variable Voltage
3- design...

as far as throat hit and vapor goes... you need to vape between 4.2 and 5+ volts.
LR Atties on a 3.7 work or get a variable voltage mod.

...and the liquid you use.

You want to see clouds of vapor? throw some vg on an atty at 5-6 volts... try boba's bounty at 5-6volts and you'll disappear in Vapor.

I strongly suggest getting a BE112, 801 or 3.6 atty... connectors for your 510 cost a couple bucks.

My preference is an LR 901 atomizer.

Save your money Jeseryn, buy an eGo Mega Atty (Cylinder type B) with the mega carts and you will think you have a new a better PV. It's like day and night. Wow.

And to boot. . .it comes with a LIFETIME warranty. Course at 66, guess it doesn't mean all that much to me personally. But, should mean alot to almost everybody else.

Both of these suggestions sometimes have a little wait till availability of ordering but they are amazing. The REO mini (which I have and love) and the Ali'i. You can find HUGE threads about both

To me they are the holy grail right now of easy, elegant, great vaping, bottom fed devices. Check them out before spending money on anything else. Both are supported by the people who make them. When I say supported I mean these guys go above and beyond for customer service and will answer your questions personally. You can't go wrong with either one.
Happy vaping!

Sounds to me like you really should get a variable voltage mod.
There is the Buzz, Little Sister, Big Brother, and probably a few more out now.

But if you wait a little while the market is sure to be flooded with variable voltage mods.
It's the next big thing.

Also, you might want to check this out if you haven't seen it yet...
