My Janty eGo is on the fritz, batty not holding charges very long, and when they are charged, vapoer is week to say the least. So, I'm taking the leap to a new Silver Bullet!! I can't wait to see the differance. One question. How do you work the SB on 6v? Is there different batty's to do this? It's advertised as 3.7, but I know it's capable of 6. Thanks all.:vapor:

lol, yeah I guess I may just keep my ego for public settings, I forsee getting some odd looks when people see me smoking something out of a box. As far as being a hobby, people laugh and make .... lab jokes all the time when they see my DIY setup..I may have gotten into it a bit too much myself, but it keeps me busy so screw it.

You may find the eGo somewhat unsatisfying once you start vaping at true 3.7V (the eGo is more like 3.4). You may not. If so, there are lots of very small 3.7V box and tube mods out there that are pretty cheap and a lot more "out in public" friendly that you could use for public use and keep as a backup to the SB. Madvapes Midi-stack and Kalamazoo Vapor Shop's Jambox are two of several that come to mind.

For mods like the SB, which really isn't that big, I envy women and their purses though.

You are making a huge leap in going from 3.4 v to 6 v. There is nothing wrong with the SB; it's an all mechanical big tube mod. Your choice is purely personal. If you like the style for it. However, you may not like vaping at 6 volts. It is personally too harsh for me. And high voltage does not work with all flavors.

But, I find that they are a bit pricy for what they are. For around the same price, or perhaps a few dollars more, you can get into a variable voltage mod.

It would give you ultimate flexibility.

So is the provari worth looking at if we haven't ever tried anything stronger than an ego?

If you have the funds, and patience for up to a 4 week wait, go for it. That is if you're enjoying and planning on sticking with vaping. If you happen not to like it, I'm sure you could post it in the classifieds and get most if not all your money back.

I'm thoroughly enjoying mine

I guess you got a point. It is kind of addicting and I can safely say this is starting to become a hobby. But i'm going to keep it small. There is no way in hell I'd buy something like a "chuck" and smoke that thing in public. IT'S EFFIN HUGE!

I said that same thing a year ago. :) Then I went through about a dozen other devices figuring out what was really important to my personal vaping experience. I thought "small" was the most important...turns out that batt life between charges and adjustable voltage are the most important things to me. Live and learn. :) However, I still take out a small mod (Madvapes Rough Stack) with a low resistance carto on it because it's easier to carry...I no longer care what any of my mods "look" like, only what features they have, what they vape like and how long they last between charges.

And +1 on this post. The ProVari is absolutely lovely, if a bit heavy. The features are great and it's certainly not ugly. I AM scared to take mine out of the house though (cause I drop things), but that's why I have the little Rough Stack to take out with me. :) I got my ProVari from the ECF classifieds and I have been impressed and in-love with it since it arrived. Great batt life (I don't even have the extension to use the higher mAh batt and it lasts me a full day of fairly heavy vaping), fantastic features and nice looking...all win. :)

You get a whole day out of an 18500? I'm using the extension with the 18650 and 9 hours is the most I've gotten yet. Mind you I am running it between 4.4v and 5v

I get a full day out of the AW IMR 18490 3.7v 1100mAh batts. I run mine between 4.2 and 5 volts, depending on what flavor I'm using.

These: http://www.provape.com/AW-Batteries-p/aw18490.htm And I just charge them on my madvapes two slot charger, same one I use for the 18350's that go in my rough stack and gold digger.
