So I'm one of (I'm sure) many people planning on upgrading or adding to my 'collection' with my taxes... I'm still very new to the world of vaping so I was really hoping to get some advice from you more experienced vapers!

Right now I have 2 ego Twists 650mAh (and a stupid amount of 808 style e cigs that my mom is now using) and I do honestly love them. In fact the hardest thing for me was finding the right tank, I started out with the Protank 2 mini and soon realized that I can't use those, Idk if top coils are better, but I was drying the attys out pretty bad because of how I vape (like I smoke because I'm just quitting) so I switched to carto tanks (right now I have poly ones so I'm waiting for my Smok Tech pyrex glass ones to come in the mail) and my problem was fixed and I am one happy vaper lol.

I'd like to get something with a little more options if possible, but still small. I'd love to have something with a screen, definitely VV (I wouldn't have a clue how to work VW, but I learn quickly). I was looking at the itaste V3 (or is it a 3.0?) and it seems like a great fit for me, but again, I'd love some advice. I really want a Sigali Zmax mini, a cute hot pink one lol, but after thinking a lot about it I realized that it would really just be a waste of money, I don't NEED something like that right now, I am as I said happy with the Twist. The only reason I'm not wanting to just get more of the Twist batteries is because of the bottom, it's SO hard for me to see! I've thought about getting a Vision Spinner because it looks like they're easier to see, but I figured that if I'm trying to upgrade, why not just upgrade! Like I said, I really want something with a screen and VV, but still small and I haven't found anything other than the itaste V3 that fits that description. I am a little concerned about the charging port on the itaste.

Just a side note, I have NO problem with the battery, I've only run the batteries down once and that's because I wanted to see how long they'd go. It was sort of on purpose, I just happen to be out at the time! I can go 2 days between charges.

how much money would you like to spend because there are a ton of amazing DNA 20 or 30 mods that are tinny. you might not need all the power it puts out now but you might one day. https://www.vaporshark.com/dna-buy-now.html VS!.jpg

I if you're going for something small I would recommend the Vamo over the iTaste just for the fact you can carry extra batteries. Something that small is not going to have a great battery life and the iTaste has a built in battery so when it dies it needs charged or it can only be used as a passthrough. If you get a vamo you can use it with the 18350 batteries and it'll still be very small. It gives you VV as well as VW (if you choose to use it, I never did).

To be honest, an iTaste is really not an upgrade to a twist. :) It's only 800mah batt in there so you will be tied the the charger all the time. Other than a window that shows a few things, it's really not diff than what you have.

I would truly consider the sigelei vmax that you mentioned. you can take the batts out to charge and just carry batts. I did not hav ethe mini but here is the full size telescoping next to an EGO in my female hand in 18350 mode..........very nice!~ does a lot of stuff and is not expensive. It is ego threaded and 510 threaded so you can use almost anything on it. Looks great iwth a tank!

Or you could go in an entire different ddirection and try a bottom feeder like REO. :)

if your just using cartos I doubt you will tell a difference between a twiste and a zmax, my brother has a z max and the only thing its better at is running rebuilds because it goes to 6v and I can pump more power into a big micro coil. Besides that the cartos and protank hit the same. BUt being able to swap batteries and have a few ready to go is nice.

Money isn't really an issue, I'm trying to give myself a budget of $200 total and I'd like to get 2 devices (unless it's something that's so big I would never leave the house with it! Of course if that's the case, I probably wouldn't buy even one lol).

Another point about the Vamo is it has an up voltage button, and a down voltage button. It's a lot simpler to use if you're driving or doing something where you can't deal with a one button interface. I have not used a Zmax though so I can't say how simple it is to use. But it can't get much easier than the vamo.

That is one thing I DO NOT like about so many of the mods is only ONE button to control so many different things!

Unlike most others, battery life hasn't been an issue with me, like AT ALL! And as I said, my Twists are 650mAh. I can go two or more days without charging so that isn't really a problem. I definitely hear a lot of people talking about the MVP, but I just don't want to use a box! Not that there is anything wrong with them, I'm sure they're great, but I'm just not sure I'd be comfortable using it. I'm a girly girl, I like girly things, A LOT and so far, I haven't seen many of the mods that come in pink lol.

Thank you guys for the quick replies, you all are SO helpful, I really wouldn't have been able to put the analogs down if it weren't for all of your kindness and wisdom!

The spinner is a little larger than the Twist -- 16mm diameter rather than 14mm. The voltage scale goes the opposite way. Confusingly there are still scale division between the 3.3V and 4.8V end-stops which doesn't make sense, but you can't turn the dial there anyway. It is certainly easier to read and easier to turn. How long that will remain the case I don't know, since the Twist's scale is engraved, whereas the Spinner is only printed.

Probably the size factor is what you should go by. I can fit a big Twist/Spinner in my shirt pocket even with a full size ProTank poking out the top. I couldn't do that with a battery mod. So when my SVD finally gets here from FastTech (it's only been a month so far), I will still probably use the eGos when I am out and about.

P Busardo has a review of the VV (first version): A PBusardo Review - KGO VV - Hoosier ECig - YouTube
Judging from the link you posted, the version 2 fixed most of the things that he has issues with.

It's cheaper than the other one you suggested, does VW and measures resistance. For that price I'd give it a try.

Depends on what you mean by "upgrade". I taste vv3.0 would give you a "features upgrade" .. because it has a screen, ohm checker (I think), and VW . . but performance is highly similar to an ego-twist.

An Evic, SID, z-max, etc . would give you potentially longer battery life but pretty similar performance.

A DNA device like a vapor shark or opus d, etc . .would give you a definite upgrade in terms of features and performance. Battery life could be an issue with some . .the vapor shark has like an 1100mah internal battery. The idea of getting 2 vapor sharks is a little unsettling in terms of cost.

Or you could just say the heck with it and get a pro-vari. In fact, I'm not sure why that hasn't already been mentioned. All kidding aside, a pro-vari would be a nice upgrade to an ego in terms of performance, battery life, features, etc.

I iTaste is a big upgrade to the twist. The chipset is much better. You can control the voltage up to 6 volts not 4.8 on a twist and you can adjust the wattage up to 11 watts. The iTaste VV3 also has a micro usb plug which makes any cell phone charger a VV3 charger. You can check the battery to see how many volts are left, where a twist will only flash and go dead.
