Ok, wife and I and now looking to upgrade for eGo-C Twist 1000mah for a more consistent vape. I've been doing lots of reading on here and not sure if I'm just more confused or more informed, LOL !!

Vamo - seems for every 1 good comment I find 2 bad ones. Are the recent models any better?

Zmax - per commentary, appears the sigelei gets the nod. Any real differences between the V2, V3 or V5? All that I can tell is the V3 has a telescoping function to accommodate different size batteris.

Tesla - doesn't seem to be a big (popular) mod on this forum as I can't find much except that it looks funny and people tend to hate that the buttons are placed awkwardly above the screen. Found a killer deal but vendor was out of stock. Thoughts or comments????

Seems the Zmax and Tesla are near same price.............looking for anyone that may of used both or that can give me enough information to push me one way or another. I know this falls under personal preference, but not having a B&M shop that sells these makes the choice pretty difficult. Local location only has the eVic for $115 (sale) and I think the SmokTech Zmax (Unknown $$).

P.S. I've also read about the Provari - rock solid build and warranty, but seems the popular vote is with something that uses VW.

Any helpful suggestions or comments?

The new itaste is awesome. I'm kind of stuck on innokin products for the simple fact they can do everything and dont cost as much as your monthly food budget. They also have different styles to suit your mood.

Vamos work great after you get over a little bit of a learning curve.

I would never recommended the seigeli or however you spell it.

Reos seem to be very popular here though I have never used one. It is on my priority list.

Provaris seem to be about the same boat as the vamo but easier with the learning curve.

Nobody ever starts out on a Provari. Who's gonna spend the bucks until they know they're sticking with ecigs? I got mine a couple or so years ago and never looked back. It takes everything on the market (maybe with an adapter); every cart, tank, etc., and gives long-lasting and consistent voltage that can be varied according to taste. It's built like a tank and has stood the test of time.

When I think of the money I could've saved had I just gotten a Provari to begin with! But then, I wouldn't realize how great they are if I hadn't experimented.

For the requirements you've outlined I would personally get an Innokin itaste V3 and a Vamo V2 or V4 (unless you dont mind the look of the V3) between the 2 of you.
They both offer VV and VW, work well as simple introdcution devices to VW and are very well priced compared to other devices on the market. Also, the itaste V3 works as a passthrough which can come in very handy.
I used to use twists/spinners only but since getting the Vamo I was on the lookout for a more mobile friendly VW device; which I found in the itaste V3.
I'm not really into rebuildables yet so I use Evods, Protanks (minis, 1's and2's) on all of the above and have had no issues whatsoever, yet, with any of the setups.
Happy vaping!

Any rationale why you would NEVER recommend it??

I picked up the Sigelei Zmax V3 from Vaportekusa for around $55 a few months ago. I also have a vamo. I can tell you that the Sigelei zmax is much better built than the Vamo. I enjoy using 18500 batteries because they are not as large as the 18650s, but last longer than the 18350s. I don't know much about the Tesla, so I can't say much on that front. It does seem to a decent mod as well.

Another thing, do not buy a kit for mods. They usually come with junk batteries and junk chargers. I know Fasttech has a Vamo kit that actually does come with good batteries and a good charger, but as a general rule, kits do not come with batteries that are safe or reliable.

Thanks, gotta snapshot of your iTaste 3 with a Protank on it. Just seems it would look a bit disproportionate.

Check out the SiD too

Gotta good link? Haven't read anything on that unit.

SiD is made by smoketech, better than vamo/provari in my opinion. Actually the only thing I like better than my itaste.

The only reason to need/want anything else would be for sub ohm stuff, which I haven't tried and am not interested in :p

Mainly because he copies everything without perfecting anything.

In reality there are lots of choices anymore, so it's kinda like finding a shoe that fits.

That said IMO there are three PV that have stood the test of time and stand out above the rest.

I can post one for you when I get home tomorrow mate no problem.
They are slightly top heavy but in all honestly they don't look as bulbus as they do on the twists/spinners and the major plus for me on the itaste is the fact it's square shaped so no worries of them rolling off a table or toppling from a standing position and damaging/cracking my tanks.
I dont know whether it's because it's new but I personally think the Protank 2 looks very nice on the itaste and the vamo.

brother has a zmax (fast tech version) and his friend has a tesla. both do the job great. the zmax only has one button so its kinda a pain to adjust the volts or watts, its a little smaller then he tesla and feels sturdy. it fire for a little after you let off the button which is my only real issue with it.

the tesla feels real sturdy, feels nice in hand, been awhile but i dont remember it firing after i let off the button, easy adjustments, 3 buttons so adjusting it is simple and even though people make a big deal out of the button placement it is a none issue. I have big fingers and I can still see everything fine.

if I had to pick between them I would grab the tesla. Both are a little to big to carry IMO.

sigelei zmax v3 or v5 for @$60 is the best deal out there.... been rocking this mod for 6 months HARD. takes any battery configuration and is built strong and finely finished. even if later on you go more expensive(and you will!) this will be the mod you always use because you don't want anything to happen to the expensive ones. it has proved to be the workhorse I had hoped it would be when I bought it.

I know that the cap is magnetized, I know its threaded well. I know it missfires from time to time. I also know that the power draw drops off significantly and is not consistent. Was keepi ng it short Mr. Op

I think the Tesla has a better menu system than the Z-Max. It also has a feature that I haven't seen in any other mod, (certainly not in the same price range); a spring-loaded center pin. Regarding the button placement, I think they're in the right spot, otherwise you'd be hitting the adjustment buttons with your index finger while pressing the fire button with your thumb. Most people just seem to notice that they're above the screen and jump to the conclusion that it's "wrong", without thinking about how they'd actually hold and use the unit.
