Upgrading a little: Needing a serious hand holding.....

I have been vaping a wee bit over 2 months. Instead of notching down and cutting my nicotine, I find I want a stronger vaping experience. So...I am going from a EgoC Twist to a deeply discounted new Vamo 2 (aka Bamboo) since my BandM now has the Vamo 3.
I read through the Vamo subforum under the APV forum to familiarize myself with the Vamo and am confused as heck. I just want to enjoy my VAMO at a 5.5 voltage using the smaller battery (18350). So, in layman's terms....what should I know before walking out of the store with it. I don't understand wattage or Ohms. I plan to use a Protank 2 or Vivi Nova (not sure which one will be better with the Bamboo.)
The Twist was easy. Just turn the dial. After reading the forum messages, I feel like I just got handed my husband's all in one remote control that I haven't even figured out how to turn the TV on with.

Grats on a new mod! :D Watch the young lady in the demo video show you how to use your new Bamboo. You are going to want high quality 18350 IMR batteries - I recommend the red AW IMR's. The resistance on the juice attachments to vape at 5 volts will need to be at least 3.0 ohm. The chart below is simple to figure out.

I don't think you will have an issue once you get used to using the Vamo. You already have experience with variable voltge and it is largely the same on that front (adjust to taste). With the variable wattage function, you just adjust to taste. The main difference is that with variable wattage, the device will adjust the voltage to the resistance of the atomizer to get the desired wattage. This makes VW more of a set it and forget it type of feature. For example, if you have a clearomizer that has 1.8 ohms of resistance, you would use a lower voltage that you would with a clearomizer that had 2.5 ohms. However, with variable wattage, the voltage would automatically depending on the resistance.

Start low and puff, increase a little and puff, keep doing this until it starts to taste a little burny then drop it down by a notch -- that'll be your sweet spot. Another place to search out is the juice vendor section of whatever you're vaping and ask the same question.

Reason is because not all juices are created equal and produce different taste at higher voltages so even if you did the math right, it may not be the best taste. The math 'n charts are just there to keep you from destroying your equipment or blowing your face off.

So to recap, start low while inching your way up 'til burny then drop it down and then seek out fans of your juice and pick their brains

Thank you all so much....the video was a great help. The Bamboo will come as a kit with a large battery, a small battery, a charger and 30ml of juice. If the batteries are not the red aw imr's...can those be purchased at a Batteries Plus? I am thrilled and can hardly wait to pick it up tomorrow.
