Luckily for me, France is still OK for tanks over 2ml :) (as far as I remember, it's only pre-filled cartridges that are limited to 2ml here)

Lucky you! In the UK, the MHRA (the bods in charge of TRPR*) have announced that any squonk bottle supplied with a squonker must also be max 2ml capacity. :-x:nah:

*TRPR - tobacco and Related Products Regulations so UK's interpretation of the TPD.

Ridiculous. Of course you could buy a deep well rda and still maybe have a 7ml total. With a 2ml bottle you would have to mod a platform for the bottle it seems. The tubing would be too long wouldn't it? Guess a 2ml unicorn bottle might work.

All tanks, RTAs, RDAs or Squonk bottles must have maximum capacity of 2ml.

From MHRA newsletter July 2018:
Supplying Non-Compliant Products and Components : Squonkers
These products do not meet the requirements of the regulations if supplied with a squonk bottle/ reservoir or tank by any other name with a capacity above 2ml. Any refill containers supplied with a squonker must comply with the associated regulations.”

So (technically), it's possible that a squonk starter kit could have max 2ml limit in total!

Are you able to buy larger capacity bottles separately?

If not, that would kind of defeat the purpose of squonking, in my opinion.

Technically, no. Though someone has suggested that if a silicon bottle was supplied containing VG or PG (therefore qualifying as a refill bottle) that could then used as a squonk bottle using the connection that came with the supplied 2ml bottle - then that would be a good get around.

But, that couldn't be sold with (as part of) the squonk kit.

That sounds like a great suggestion. I'll probably end up getting that!

I went from eGo pens to dabbling with DTL for a while but I got the Zenith tank as well now. It handles high VG liquids well and if you use the sub-ohm coils and open the airflow you can sort of get a feel of what DTL is like (but only sort of). Personally after the novelty of big clouds wore off, I wasn't getting as much satisfaction from the DTL.

And you know the eGo style pens are good back ups too plus if you do go down the DTL road they're good for discreet vaping like in someone's house or elsewhere where people might not mind you vaping but don't want lots of clouds!

It's not really the mod that makes a dl setup, it's the tank. You just need a mod with enough power to run the tank. That's rarely a problem these days with dual battery mods running around even a smaller single battery mod can power many dl tanks out there although you will get shorter run time and may need to swap in a fresh battery during a day.
