Coming from an eGo style pen anything will be an upgrade. One big decision will be whether or not you want the same feeling of sucking on a cigarette which is pretty much how you're vaping now. Then a mtl tank is your best bet. If you want something with more cloud and an easier draw with higher airflow then a dl style tank would be something to try.

My personal suggestion is get something like a 75W mod with a mtl tank. You can always buy a dl tank down the road to check it out and if it's not for you then you're good with the mtl tank. If you like it the mtl tank can always become a backup if the dl tank breaks. Having backups (mods too) is important so if something does break you're not tempted to go back to cigarettes waiting for a replacement.

There are so many choices, which is why I came here for advice and I got soooo much! I probably will start off with. MtL mod for now. I can always upgrade to a DL later down the road if I need to.

If you want an internal battery mod that is still MTL I still think it can be hard to go wrong with an Aspire zelos setup, it has the Nautilus 2 tank on there, which yes, has its downsides but can be a pretty good starter MTL setup.

A lot of folks like the pico mod by Joytech and it has evolved into a removable battery setup. As a mod, I think it's pretty decent for the price, but the tank that's currently on that kit is not particularly MTL although I think it takes a variety of coils. The tank can be purchased separately but the way it's designed, it would have to be a smaller diameter tank.

I am a fan of the Innoken Zenith tank as a great starter tank for MTL, it has 4 ml capacity, top fill and the flavor's great and the coils last a very long time. It's seriously just a nice, solid, MTL tank. I believe as a kit it is the Innoken Zenith Kroma and I have not heard really ANY complaints about that setup although I don't own the mod (but I do have two Zeniths).

If I were starting out, knowing what I know now, probably that is the kit I would get (if it falls within your budget, IDK).

Best of luck in your search.

Hi & welcome,
I have been using similar to you for 2 years now (also my husband),has stopped us both from pack a day cigarette smokers, (cost of preferred now is $A40 per pack of 25).I live in a rural area now & have to buy all Vaping Gear online due to OZ Govt legislations. An acquaintance came with an Evod one day & told me how to order & what to order etc,It would be so good if you have access to ordering from an Overseas Vendor (like fasttech -know what you want & only get Authentic & the prices are amazing, well to me to compared to Vendor I used for first year & a half.50pounds would set you up well.(or did you write $50-all is done usually in USDs.Good luck! You are still not smoking with ecigs, they work!

That sounds like a great suggestion. I'll probably end up getting that!

Can I please remind people that the maximum capacity for any tank/atty in the EU is 2ml (except Germany which, I believe, allows up to 10ml) and the maximum nicotine amount in e-liquid is 20mg/ml (2%)

Thanks

@ScottishVaper1o87 - Where are you based? Country will do
I'm from Scotland.

Right, the problem with buying from sites based in the USA is you're liable to get hammered not only by postage but also customs charges for any item (including postage and insurance) above £15. You'll also be charged an administration fee of £8 from Royal Mail.

Perhaps I’m wrong...it is my understanding that you may use any size atty and any mg but you are limited to 2ml and 20mg for purchase.

Yeah, I'm aware of that :/ I'll shop around and hopefully find something similar to what has been recommended.

Luckily for me, France is still OK for tanks over 2ml :) (as far as I remember, it's only pre-filled cartridges that are limited to 2ml here)
