Hi, I am looking to upgrade from my blu e-cig:glare:. I know this topic has been covered a lot here as I have read many different threads concerning it. The main consensus seems to be "it depends on what you want", so I thought I would post my own thread and hopefully get some good feedback and suggestions.

Let me start out with how I view Blu so far-

I like it because it got me off cigarettes, I also really like the cherry flavor, and the size. I like that I just screw a cartridge in and am good to go.

The problems I am having with it are that the battery life is not very good (lasting about 1 hour with my vaping), the cartridges seem inconsistent as sometimes they don't even produce vapor (even right out of the box), all the cherry cartridges start to taste burnt/weird after half their usage. I also think the vapor production could be more.

What I am looking for:

Fat and consistent vapor hits.
Something with a decent battery life.
Something I can fill and forget (I don't want to be messing around with my e cig every few drags to drip or w.e)
No leaking.
A semi easy pull

My budget is around $150, I would also like some recommendations on different flavors if possible.

I will be checking this thread frequently. I am trying to order by tonight and this Blu is driving me semi-nuts.

Thanks for any answers in advance. :)

this is another good setup, that will still give you the look of a regualr ciggy
Joye eRoll PCC Electronic Cigarette Kit [JOYEEROLLKT] - $49.99 :
but if you must keep that look, get a PCC, so that way you can charge it, or just bite the bullet and get something bigger, trust me you will be happy with it
eGo 1100mAh CE4 Electronic Cigarette Blister Kit [EGOCE4BLISTKT] - $19.99 :
is just a way to "put your foot in the water"
and on juice, for goode juice, i recommend vita bella, sweet yummy tobacco....
hope this helps!

I started with a Blu and have tried several devices since. My advice to you is to be patient and save a little more $ so that you can go straight to something really nice. Ditch the cartos altogether. In my experience, they end up costing more than they are worth. Get a rebuildable, that way, you only have to buy wire and juice. There are several out there that are easy to deal with and have a low learning curve. I went through Boges, Clearamizers, and tanks before finally settling on rebuildables. Also, get yourself a nice mechanical mod. There are lots and lots to choose from and offer bigger battery capacities. I tried Egos and still was unsatisfied with the performance. I Used a GLV for quite a while with satisfaction except for the limitations as far as options for rebuildables that would fit onto it. I highly recommend a Penelope, Odysseus, or a GP spheroid for an easy to use rebuildable. I currently carry a GP PAPS with me when I'm out and about because of the long battery life and portability (fits easily in my pocket). Do yourself a favor and save for something that you have researched and has a good following of users. Do not rush into something that you will probably replace in 4-6 months. Get a mod that is well built and will last for years to come (a Golden Greek or GP). Good luck!

Lavatube 2.0 starter kit. Order it with the Tubetank.. holds 7 ml and lasts for days. The 18650 battery gets me a full day and a half before needing recharge and i'm a heavy vaper. Vocanoecigs.com has them in stock and they also have 34 e-juice flavors one of which is cherry that I've used and is tasty. a new carto is 2.99.. i get about 2 weeks out of each one and for that price and not having to go thru the trouble of rebuilding an atty I prefer them. e-juice and a new carto every 2 weeks is still WAY cheaper than smoking cigs. The Lavatube is modeled after the Provari which you will read about all the time as being one of the most preferred time tested and proven VV mods available. It's pricey though.
My advice do your homework before you spend. Make a list. Surf youtube and the internet for pro's and cons of each model you are interested in. I've helped 14 people get lavatubes and they all love them and the only problem anyone has had is when they dropped and broke it... which could happen to most any model.

Welcome MrMeyogie to the Fourms.
If you want something like a cigarette. You might want to look at the volts by Smokeless Image. The link is below.
They have a good starter kit and everything they sell fits each other. I would suggest getting a sample pack, so you can find a flavor you will enjoy. Even if you get an Ego , get a sample pack of E-juice.
Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Smokeless Image Electronic Cigarettes - The Future is in your hands

An Ego twist is a good brand. Either of the two you will enjoy.

Oh forgot to mention flavors the tobacco pure from Volcano is my all day every day vape and I love it. I've tried 14 different flavors from 7 different comapnies out there and there are very few i've personally liked. The coconilla is good too. The friends I have that smoke menthol say the menthol burst is excellent. I also will vape Kryptonite at times ... kind of a lemon lime flavor that is a nice change.
try to get trial 5ml sizes cause you can rack up a big bill fast and end up hating the juice.

its funny how one's perceptions change over time. I am no novice vaper - I got my first back in 08.
I dropped it because of equipment issues and just started back this past July. I started off with a kgo battery and cartomizers (hated filling them), bought an ego c - hated that too after a couple of weeks. Then I bought vivi novas and thought I would be happy forever.
but it just wasnt to be.
i got tired of not being able to put my pv in my jeans pocket - I got tired of cleaning the tank....blah blah..

So here i am happily vaping on my new bloog. Its still a mini cig but with a pcc and several batteries to swap I am never without power. The vapor is not quite as good as off a vivi - but very close and I am not missing anything in vapor production. I am also loving the cartomizers. So easy to fill, quite tasty and, because I can fill them myself - no burned taste because every one is fresh and well filled. I love the small size. I love the ease of the cartomizers and I love that my batteries are automatic and no more button to push or get accidentally fired off at the wrong time (like when it is in my pocket).

My take on this is that there are so many reasons people buy what they buy. If would have loved your blu if it did not have some of the issues you mentioned there are products out there that will fill the bill. You dont have to go to a big battery or fancy rebuildable atty to improve your vaping experience.

bigger is not really always better and more money is not always worth what you pay.

for me - the convenience of the mini and ease of use really fits my needs well. If you are interested in keeping the small form factor but want something better than a blu, smokeless image volt, bloog and smoov are all serious upgrades to the blu.

Varible Wattage is the way to go! Don't waste your time with the ego starter kits. I started with one (eog /Joytech) that came with a kit that had 2 units for $85. After 3 months I was constantly swaping units during the day. I have up graded to the Sigelei Zmax VV /VW unit and love it!! VW will allow you to put in any type of restance atomizer whith out needing to change the settings unlike a VV variable voltage unit.

i would go with a silver bullet from altsmoke for around $110 you can get the silver bullet, a 2000 mah AW IMR 18650 battery( AW IMR is the best battery for SB ) and a charger. with the 40 bucks you have left you could go to electronicstix and get a 5.5ml J-tank and 5 pre punched Boge LR cartomizers to go in it for $31, it fits perfectly on the SB it's nearly the same diameter and it holds allot of juice so you only have to fill it 2 or 3 times a day, with the other $9 get a Cherry Vape Ming or pawn driptip to go on your tank that looks good with the color of your t SB to tie it all together :2cool: a LR 1.5 ohm 306 atomizer with a AW IMR 3.7v battery in the SB is a good vape. you wont want to go past 2.0 ohms though or it wont be so good , you also have the option to stack 2 RCR 123a battery to vape at 6volts, when i am not using a kick in my SB i vape a 3 ohm cartomizer in the j-tank at 6volts and its a really good vape.

here are the links for every thing i suggested
AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Silver Bullet - Silver Bullet - Starter Kits
AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | AW IMR18650 2000mAh LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery
ElectronicStix.Com · 5.5ML J Tank
ElectronicStix.Com · Single Boge 510 Blank Laser Punched Cartomizer For Tank Systems
ElectronicStix.Com · Cherry Vape Dream Tip Ming

and when you get some extra money you can get a KICK and a Kick Sleeve for your SB to make it VW for about 70 bucks and have a really nice vape setup
AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | The Kick by Evolv - Kick - By Evolv - Accessories
AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Silver Bullet - Kick Sleeve - Kick - By Evolv - Accessories

and for flavor id check out Boba's Bounty from AVE its amazing most people love it, its my all day vape :) and today its 35% off with free shipping and tomorrow it will be 40% off with free shipping sale is over after that , i would suggest getting a 100ml bottlew/spout top tomorrow it will be $31.80 instead of $53 and on the small chance you don't love it i am sure you won't have a hard time finding some one to buy it off of you lol

This is my thread... I did purchase that 900 mAh spinner and the mini vivi nova. I have really really enjoyed both. I vape quite a bit (averaging anywhere from 4-6ml/day). I highly recommend the spinner over the twist, if even only for the fact that the dial is super easy to turn and with the red line and prominent volt markings, you always know what you're set at. I've even started keeping a little list of which tank/clearo/carto, what ohms, and what volt settings I like for each juice I use.

I have increased my vape gear collection (that I share with my fiance) to include a pair of ego 350mah minis, an SD keyring mod, and a 510 manual stick batt (lasts about twice as long as a blu/mistic/njoy). I've also got shortie clearos (they hold .7ml of juice - great for testing out a new flavor), some stallion cartos (about 2ml - same as the vivi nova mini), a Kanger T2 (2.4ml), a Stardust (1.6ml - I believe it's also a CE4 - someone correct me if I'm wrong), and a few tiny little Kanger T4s (.9-1ml) for my 510 stick. I honestly love the Kanger T2 and Stardust way more than the Nova. I just get better flavor out of them. I used the Stardust exlusively for the last week or so and just fired my nova back up today and there was a way bigger difference to me.

I do intend to eventually get a ProVari, but love the setups I'm currently working with. I mostly pair the T4s with the 510 stick for my morning 24mg vape. Gets me up and going.

Okay, I'm starting to ramble here and forgot what my point was. I'll remember it soon and post again. :D Anyway, Welcome to ECF and I really truly hope you find that perfect setup for you. :D

oh no, this OP guy here is no miyagi....this is exclusively my position here (lol)

to answer your question....run over to vapors-choice and grab you an eGo twist kit for 56 bucks (and don't forget the five free sample bottles you get with any order you get from them)

now, if you like the blu cherry flavor, head over to johnson creek....because that's the juice that blu uses. forealz.

then you want to check into sample packs from places like halo....
