About 6 months ago I started vaping. I had never used a vape for nicotine products before, decided to one day and started out with the Halo Triton tank system. I've vaped heavily since then and it seems both of my batteries died today - oddly. Either that or my charger has gone bad, though, I have noticed the last month or so the voltage was worsening and it wasn't hitting as well.

Anyway, I spent about 70 bucks on these two nice little batteries, tanks and maybe another 30 on coils and a spare tank. My question now is, if I'm interested in upgrading - where do I start?

I'm looking for something that is convenient and not too ridiculous looking. Something cost effective.

Batteries do not last forever--they are usually good for 300 charges or so--at least, in theory. That said, I find it hard to believe that both batteries would just die of old age after 6 months--both at the same time. But it is possible.

That said, if you're interested in switching to the 510 connection, there are plenty of great options: eGo-C Twist, Vision Spinner, eVod VV, Innokin eGo VV and MVP--just to name a few. They are all good and reliable batteries. Just pick what you like and what's in your price range. Of course, you'll need to get new chargers and heads that are compatible with the 510 threads.

Good luck!

It's been a month or so, it's random and people don't care I'm sure - dunno how many people actually revisit threads lol. My batteries ofcourse did not both die at the same time - rather my charger was malfunctioning and when fully attached wasn't actually charging the batteries. Bit peculiar, with a bit of fiddling they charge fine but after 6-7 months are obviously holding less charge for longer.

I read all of the posts, the MVP2 seems like a reasonable buy. It's quite cheap, at the moment at least, has good reviews and seems compact. Was looking at buying a provari, 120-160 dollars for a good vape isn't out of the question but if I can buy a few, exceptional, reasonably priced vapes for the same price I don't see how that could be a worse investment.

Thx to those who see this reply and gave suggestions, comments and opinions.

For the money MVP 2.0 is great I own to in fact they only down side I have heard not happened to me yet is that after a while they too will lose how long they hold a charge. The provari is yes on the expensive side but SO worth it...I just bought 3 regular sized ones and then the provape 1. But it was investment I was ready and willing to make so the question to ask is do you want to replace your mod in 6 mo to 1 yr or do you want to get something that will last?
