Are you using option 1 or option 2 for uploading the profile pic?

Option 1 - Enter the URL to the Image on Another Website: This might operate the same way as the image uploader for replies on forum threads. I couldn't get anything to upload from my computer to a thread post, but when I put the picture on Photobucket I was able to insert the image in the thread by copying and pasting the image URL. See results here. I imagine this might work for Option 1 on the profile image thing in User Control Panel.

Worth a try?

Some have used an offsite photo storage instead of trying to upload from their computer with no issue in the meantime until things get fixed up.

You can use photobucket.com , then click "insert picture" when wanting to post one and enter (copy/paste) the "direct link" reference from photobucket.

I used Photobucket to create an album. Under each photo in your album you'll see four different codes. I clicked on "Direct Link" below the photo I wanted.

Here in the reply box, I clicked on the little icon that's a rectangle with a depiction of a mountain or something. It asked for the URL of the image. I pasted the URL from the "Direct Link" on Photobucket, clicked OK, and the picture showed up in the reply box.

I'm pretty sure you can use just about any off-site image hosting site. Google has one. I think there's one called Image Shack. There are tons of them.

I'm using the "advanced" reply thing here on ECF, by the way, not the quick reply one.

Many changes are being made without taking the forum down for maintenance, so we're bound to have glitches along the way as they integrate.

TechTeam is working constantly on upgrades, tweeks, and redesign every day, all day long. In the end when all is complete we should be quite the happy campers I would hope !!
