Hi Guys,

Ive just got a mini e-cig from smart smoker.

I dont know whether its the carts they shipped are dodgy or what but I struggle to get vapour, then occasionaly I will get vapour, then it will start tasting funny. I then remove the atomiser to find that the fibre from the cart has stuck to the atomiser!!!

Does this mean that the atomiser is f***** or am I doing something wrong?!?! help because I really want to get into e smoking :(

I don't know a lot about minis Zemaj but have heard that cartridge fibre sometimes does get caught on the atomiser with them.

You could try dripping a couple of drops of juice straight onto the atomiser and smoke it without the cartridge (if you don't have eliquid you can squeeze some from a cartridge). It takes a while to learn how much juice is right for your atomiser, you don't want it too dry or too wet. Either way can make unsatisfactory vapour.

Try to push the filling down a bit, or even to snip off any fibres that protrude from the cartridge. Some cartridge fillings aren't very smooth.

As for the funny taste at first: a new atomiser will be factory-primed, i.e. loaded with liquid to protect the wick, but it's not meant to taste nice ;) and it may not give off a lot of vapour at first.

With a new atomiser I tend to just puff away until the cartridge takes and the taste impoves. However, if you puff hard and you get no vapour, you are smoking it too dry. As Kate said, drip a bit of juice onto the wick and see if it smokes better.

If you then replace the cartridge and it still doesn't smoke right, the cartridge may not fit properly and you may have to return the atomiser. It's a pain, but it happens.
