Urgent help needed

Hey I'm a little concerned just put a new coil in the rba of my subtank mini it's running at .4 ohms on the istick30w. As I'm vaping the battery feels like it's heating up, is this OK? It's got a little warm before but this is the hottest it's been. Slightly worried about it blowing up in my face!!!? Help!

I don't own an I stick but generally speaking you should not experience heat from your device, only heat from your atty. A couple of my regulated devices do warm up under higher wattage, but not very much...I would advise caution.

I own an iStick 30W and sometimes use a Subtank Mini on it. I don't recall the battery ever getting hot while I was using it. I would say in a case like this, better safe than sorry..... stop using it. Do you have a back-up device you can use? It might also be a good idea to try a different atomizer on the iStick if you have one and see if the battery gets hot with that as well. If it does, stop using it.

I put it down and left it for a few minutes and it was cool seems like it heats up around the 510 connector when I chain vape but the bottom of the battery remains cold

Well it may just be some heat being transferred from the Subtank to the top of the iStick if you are chain vaping it. Again though.... safety first! If it doesn't feel normal to you, it isn't worth risking it.

My IPV mini will warm up a bit if I have an RDA on top, same thing though just heat transfer from the RDA not from the device itself. I would deff advise caution, in fact you might contact eleaf about getting that device replaced just in case.

When I chain vape, and I am hitting it hard, using the Mini on my Mech Mod the top does heat up from the heat coming off the coil and my build is about .58 ohm. but the bottom of the mod is cool and so is the battery when I take it out to check it. I think it is OK but if your worried and you made the coil build another use 1 more wrap for a little higher ohm and see if that make a difference.

I think that might be it this is the lowest I've ever gone and it wasy first parallel coil build so it take a little longer to heat up but it's white Hot when it gets going

Def should not by hot a lil warm is fine. When it gets to hot meana ur overworkin it

Not sure if the istick has overheat protection.
Top metal parts of mods can get warm. Not good sign if the battery gets hot , so check it after you've had a few vapes.

I just put my down and let it cool. Then continue to roast it.

sounds like the atty is heating up the mod... heat transfer and all that... does the battery come out of the mod ( so many new mods out there hard to keep up with all the designs) if so pull the battery and see if it is hotter than the mod... if not, blame the atty for heating up the mod.

That's what I've been doing lol. After all my phones get pretty warm too sometimes but there's not a huge chance they'll burst into flames.
