Duh. Kids are smart. The lying and “weefer madness” propaganda of Tobacco Free Kids, ACA, ALA, etc. has cost credibility for this entire effort. And the steamrolling of adults leads to black markets with no control over youth access. Meanwhile absurd restriction and onerous tax drive cigarette smoking while the preponderance shows vaping substantially less harmful.
Yeah sure, this is a winning strategy...
Vassey and her colleagues analyzed nearly 246,000 Instagram posts from before and after the #TheRealCost campaign launch, and interviewed five vaping influencers and eight college-age social media users.
Based on the results, the FDA anti-vaping campaign is not very popular and we saw Instagram user comments disputing the FDA claims of damaging health effects from nicotine and calling the campaign propaganda.
