...does it exist? I was under the impression that all our nic base came out of Europe or India, but when I mentioned that in the comments section of a Facebook post by a vendor which claims to use all US-sourced ingredients, they said "the company they use" (didn't give a name, obv) is based in NC and produces nicotine in their labs from tobacco grown on their farms. Was I misinformed, or are they?

Well since contrary to popular belief most tobacco is grown outside the US. I would expect that most nicotine or at least the tobacco used to make it is also NON US. Since I know that a lot of tobacco IS grown in the US. I would never believe or assume that all Nic base is from outside the US. I also wouldn't care where the tobacco or nic came from, too a degree. Provided it is certified safe for use and sale in the US. Not that being Certified make it safer, but at least some kind of standard is supposed to be maintained to have certification.

I don't know why I saved this but I did, someone was talking about it somewhere, and I bookmarked it. I don't know how you could buy any though.

I recently bought a sampler bottle direct from them but haven't tried it yet. Waiting to finish up my current stock from Wizard Labs. I had no problem with the order and I received it promptly. I am very anxious to give it a try as it is US sourced using a Cold/Closed refinement technology utilizing North Carolina and Kentucky tobacco raised without pesticides, growth control agents or herbicides. It may not meet the requirements of Organic, but it sounds pretty close to me.

Here is what they state on their main page:
Our goal at Carolina Xtraction Technologies is to provide the highest purity, best refined base components for the beverage, vitamin supplement and e-Cigarette Industry.

The result is colorless nicotine and nearly colorless caffiene concentrations that are heavy metal and Diacetyl-Free.

CXTC super clean Supercritical Fluid Extractions greatly increase shelf life of your product due to the absense of destabilizing impurties that require fewer flavor additives to mask inherent off flavors.

Nicotine: Water clear, slightly sweet with very light aromatic properties, CXTC nicotine enhances nearly all e-liquid formulations.

Caffiene: Slightly off colored from perfectly clear, CXTC caffiene is the perfect additive for the supplement and energy drink industries.

CXTC PRODUCTS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO IMPORT BANS.

CXTC PRODUCTS DO NOT CONTAIN DIACETYL.

I think I saved the link, because it was the first time I had seen a US based nicotine being discussed. I have about 11 or 12 liters of Nic in the freezer, I am still using a batch of Wizard Labs Nic, that I bought in December of 2013, so I don't think I will be in the market anytime soon. I didn't know you could order direct from them.:?:
