it's 5v, 1.2A, so it should. I'm not sure what the draw of the Puresmoker PT is since I don't have mine yet, but 1A is usually enough for a PT. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

I use my PS passthrough in my car with that one from Walgreens. Great price and works great. It is 12v so it works in my Ford crew cab truck.

USB out of a standard motherboard runs at .5 amps. Kensington and other powerpacks are commonly 1 amp which is preferable IMO. It will work great.

There are much cheaper options out there though if you search around. Just about any 12v to USB adapter should be 5v and around 1amp.
