Hey everyone!

Just thought I'd let you guys in on a sweet piece of tech that I found today at Radio Shack. It's a power converter for your cars cigarette lighter port. It includes the following:

A USB port on the side - great for the Joye 510 Personal Charging Case and other USB chargers.

A power outlet! Awesome for your home charger if you don't have a car charger or USB charger.

Pretty awesome little compact size. The bulk at the top swivels up and down, so it fits pretty much in any space.

As I said, you can pick up this little dandy from Radio Shack for $29.99, and I'm sure you can probably find something similar for cheaper on the internet. Just google it up!

See you guys next time.

Not seen one like that, but I picked up a cigarette lighter adapter the other week that had a double 12v socket plus 2 USB sockets, so enough to have two USB chargers for the e-cigs, plus the sat nav plugged in and still leave a spare socket for a.n.other appliance.

Best thing about it.... it was only £3 on a market stall :D:D:D

I presume you are referring to USB ports on the 12v/USB adapters we are talking about in this thread?

Assuming so - the answer is: sometimes! It depends on the rating of the adapter.:D Some are only rated at around 500mah output, which isn't usually enough to power a passthrough, buth others are rated at 800mah or 1000mah .... the higher the mah the greater the power to the passthrough. (Some passthroughs work OK at 800mah, just about everything will be fine AFAIK at 1000mah)

Yes Glo, but it has to be the right amount of volts.

For the car
Car charger for USB passthrough what to get? (

For the house- separate from the computer
A AC adapter with a usb power port. It must be 5 volts with at least 1000mA
At least that was I was told and mine works fine with 3 different passthroughs.

The computer ports will work too. I just had an old computer that I did not want to
overburden.

I hope this helps, Please correct me if I am wrong!
