If its a 3.7v one, probably - they can last 3 months or 3 days - the wires are thin and easily run over by chairs..I can't tell you how I know this  I usually buy just one and get a spare battery as - if you keep it away from chairs - its usually the battery that goes POOF first.
I have a 5v one though (also kept away from chairs btw lol) no inline battery to worry over either and its still going strong.
These are both for a 510 unit though - don't know what PV you are asking about..

I use a regular passthrough (no battery) and a "sit-and-go" passthrough (with an inline battery) for my 510s and my eGo. I like the sit-and-go better since I can just unplug the PV from the usb plug and take my ecig with me. Both cost about the same. I only started about three weeks ago, but I haven't had any problem with either so far. The only drawback to the sit-and-go is the cord is kinda short.

Although they both have USB plugs for a computer, I'm a bit paranoid about this. So I also bought an AC/USB adapter for home and a cigarette lighter/USB adapter to use in the car. I understand that both adapters should be at least 2 amp. I bought my stuff at MadVapes.com. Three orders so far and no problems.
