USB Passthrough Device-How long do they last?

I have a Red Dragon usb passthrough and really like it. Can anyone tell me how long one of these devices last. I use it for 8 hours at a time and haven't had any problems. RD has a 1 yr warranty on electric parts so if it fails in that time it will be replaced.

I got one from TW and it's been working great for 3 months. Just got one from V4L which I like better and since it's made better I'm looking for a very long partnership. Sorry that's not much help. I'm sure long time users will be along shortly to share their experiences.

I have several passthroughts from v4l that died on me after a month or so. the ones they sell now witht curly section of wire seem to be much better quality and last longer. also a fan of the manuals over the automatic in both batteries and passthroughs. The best tip for passthroughs is using a wall to usb plug rated at least 1000 to 2000 mahs output makes a huge difference in the preformance of your pt. I got mine on ebay for about 7 dollars. but i see them on a lot of supplier sites, just make sure you dont get a wimpy 500 mahs. The car to USB charger I got from vapor 4 life never worked, and the replacement they sent didnt work so it went in my dead battery and atty drawer. But my little wall wart works like a charm!

I have one for a 510 thats lasted me about 4 months now

The one I got from Vapor Kings only lasted me 2 1/2 months. It was poorly made and even though I was careful with it, shorted out at the base. I wish I had had a warranty!
