from the looks the PS Looks like its made to last
But I'm not sure If i wanna go to 6V
B/c then I would want to go 6v all the time and be investing in New Bats

is there anywhere else that sells different USB Pass through
With the Fine construction of a PS built at 3 V ?

I have one of the cheap ones and a PS. The PS is fantastic! I believe it's 5V though. I love it so much I went ahead and got a Prodigy. I use these at home and my 510 at work and in the car etc. The 5V has not ruined my 3V 510 experience. I like them both. I don't know of any 3V passthroughs built as good as the PS.

You should check out the modding forum. Lots of cool ways to make your own passthrough (For a lot less than 40 bucks).
Other than that I would check out rockymountainvapor, they have a nice one with a 360mAh inline batt ($15 free shipping). I have one, I like the inline batt because I can unplug and take it on the road. Usually lasts me all day. The construction seems fine. Not as heavy duty as that PS one (but I don't need to strangle a bear with my passthrough:)

I have one of the in-line batt models, and it is convenient to be able to take it with you and still be able to use it with the battery.

But I do have a question about it if someone could answer it.

The input voltage is 5V, but the battery is not a 5V battery, is it? For some reason i am thinking the battery is a 3.7V, but i can not prove it.
I would think that if you charge a 3.7V battery with 5V, you would overcharge it and damage it. Am i right?

Also, what would happen if you took the battery out, and put a piece of metal or a wire in the space the battery goes in, would you then have a 5V output to power the atty?

I have had my 510 kit only a couple of days, but i am not thrilled with the output of smoke. It seems to be light to me, and i have tried everything i can think about.

topping off the cart and dripping 2 drops in the atty, using a prefilled cart, doing a couple of short drags then a long one, using the q-tip straw in the cart, i just don't seem to get a great big throat hit or massive smoke.

I am looking for some VG to add to my Wet Your Stick juices, but i am finding it is a difficult task to find in my little town.

Thanks for any info you can give.

supertrkre... I just measured mine with a meter and the batt (out of the socket) measures 4.15VDC (which, along with the 360mAh rating) would explain the slightly better performance I get compared to my stock 510 batts.
The voltage on the socket measures 4.45VDC, so I don't know if there's any risk of over charge or not, but I leave mine plugged in for an 8 hr work day and haven't noticed any overheating or anything.

As far as the vapor production, I have a 510, a 4081, a 401, and a 901 and the 510 seems to be the best. lots of things come into play though..
- The drag (try to take a long, slow drag)
- flooded atty (try blowing out your atty from the battery side. if you get more than two drops out of it, it was probably flooded)
- the juice is probably the biggest. In my experience, higher nic usually gives better throat hit. VG based usually gives more vapor production (big clouds but doesn't add anything to the throat hit).
I've tried LOTs of liquids from many places and so far the best throat hit has been cotton candy flavor from RMV (I think it's standard China stock) and the most vapor production (by a long, long way) has been EcoPure liquid from Innovapor (not much flavor selection though).
You can get VG at a baking or crafts store (used for making cake Icing)

Super, as far as charging the battery on the passthrough, it's basically the same as charging it in a regular battery charger. It just charges until it's charged and then it quits charging. It shouldn't get overcharged if it works like I think it should. The thing is that when you use it it puts out whatever its rating is instead of putting out 5 volts. That makes it theoretically function about like a normal 510 battery, except it may last longer or have a strong charge longer since it has more mAh. I don't get as much power from mine as I do from the regular 510 batteries, though, although some people do. Therefore, I probably don't have 10 total minutes of use out of my passthrough in the whole 2 months I've had it. The best thing for me to have done would have probably been to have gone ahead and gotten the better quality passthrough in the first place.

Also, some people have put a jumper wire in there or actually cut the battery box out altogether and now should be running closer to 5 volts, from my understanding.

Did that about a week ago - rewired to bypass the battery - to my in-line battery 510 passthrough. I wasn't expecting much of a difference, and that's what I got: not much of a difference. But, I was bored, and wanted to be able to say "Look at me! I modded!" :p

It's a simple mod, and for me it does produce a slightly better throat-hit and vapor experience.

That's interesting. I would have expected more of a difference.

I suspect it's because there’s really not much difference between the before/after voltage as illustrated by highping's findings. There is a more noticeable difference between vaping the modded pass-through, and vaping with the standard 510 battery. More so than standard pass-through vs. modded pass-through. YMMV though as this is all subjective. It's an easy mod to do/undo, so nothin' to lose by giving it a try :)

By the way, Dacoopah, I used to live in Charlotte. Nice place.

Been here for close to 9 years now; best place I've lived so far!
