usb passthrough joye 510

Hi You all Everybody (sorry getting excited about the tv show lost),

I just received a usb passthrough for my joye 510 and to my surprise it came with a battery. It's working great but I thought the idea was to avoid batteries by using the usb port? anyone know the deal here? can it be used without the battery at less power? it didn't come with any instructions...also can you leave it plugged in all the time or only when in use because of the battery....the battery looks like maybe something i could get locally, is that true? thanks for any help. vape ON!!

Mine stays plugged in 24/7 (I use a wall socket adaptor and a USB extension).

The battery is just a 10440 li-ion, easily replacable (the PT won't work without one).

does anyone know why it needs a battery when the pc supplies power through the usb port?

I've seen models without batteries (just a plain wire), so I don't believe they are vital.

I can only assume they are included so that you can unplug them and take advantage of the longer battery life...which some people do apparently.

Some usb ports wont provide the current for some attys.

Your battery will supplement what your atty requires, and then charge in between every drag you take.
