I got a passthrough with my 510 and I love the idea, but I don't seem to get very good hits off of it like I do with the regular 510. Is this normal or should I be doing something. It seems I have to top off an awful lot just to get a decent hit.

I don't know anything about 510's but I do know that the power source for the passthru makes a big difference! If you are using it off your computer maybe you should think about getting an AC adapter with USB power port.
I am pretty sure the one you want is at least 5 volts and 1000 mah. (mine says 1300 mA)
That's what I use and got it at Wal-mart. It's worked like a champ so far and I have 3 different types of passthroughs.

My first passthrough did the same. Dont know why - but I bought another and it was fine.
never returned the bad one... I opened it up and wired it straight through and got rid of the battery. It runs at 5v now and is my "bestest" accessory. It has convinced me to buy a High voltage Mod.

Hmm could be a bad unit just got mine a day or two ago and it works great, if your hooking it to a usb hub make sure it is a powered hub (it's own power supply). The unpowered hubs do not seem to give consistent power. Just a thought.
A large number of the Joye-510 USB passthroughs were either built wrong or designed wrong. The one I had was one of the bad ones. It simply just doesn't get enough power to function correctly. I and several others have cut them up to make Mods with. Some users have reported good success with theirs.
You do need to allow the battery to charge up.

If so then Power supply dont matter because ur actually vaping from that battery and the USb just keeps it charged
If it dont have a batt then U need to hook it up to a power source that Put out at least 1.5 amps
there is a Thread about a USB adapator that is only 2 bucks that puts out 2 amps
