Usb powerbank question?

Hello all I have a question???
I have a usb power bank board.
It came off a mobile charger that had 1 18650 battery in it.
It has usb port for charging devices and a micro usb for charging the battery.
I want to know if I put this in a box mod with a VamoV5 board and 2 18650's will it work?
Would I need to add fuses? The original didn't have a fuse...

Uhh sorry should what? Add a fuse and if so what kind.
Or did ya mean it would be fine without a fuse in parallel which is what It will be in

You can add a fuse for added protection but you do not have to. The dna20/30 boards are recommended to have fuses...mamu has a post with all the fuses to use

I have a rocker switch scavenged off something... Anywhos question is can I wire this to the fire button so it won't allow pocket fires. I don't want to wire it so that the board reset when it doesn't have a battery in

Nice to see you moving in on the powerbank mod you were talking about.

Would something like this work? Transistor closed when rocker is activated. Transistor is open when rocker is off. I know you got a vamo chip, but use your imagination. This will keep current to your chip and disable the button.

Wait. .. gah I was thinking of a normal mod. Being a you have a vamo chip all you gotta do is add a rocker switch to your push putton switch wire lol. Your gonna have to desolder the button. And the connection lines below are wrong on the switch and rocker, to each other. And the negative on the 510. But w/e you get the point lol !!!

Left (squares): push button switch and rocker switch
Middle: (circle) transistor [When that middle pin gets any voltage, it'll connect the two side pins. Reverse for no voltage.]
Right: batteries and 510.

However, when using a vamo, it's a bit different. See that post. It sounds to me like you want to use the stock button.

But I think you'll have to disconnect at least one side of the tactile switch. Just insulate it from touching the board.

My pleasure bro, you helped me out. But I've been looking into button states as well.

I'm trying to do a single 26650 vv/vw bottom feeder. 5v pass through. I'm going to make a mobile mode, so when I'm out or whatever it take 2 rapid button presses to fire so I don't have to work about it. I can use an Atmel Attiny IC and make modes. Maybe a LCD display, that's alot of ins and outs though.

Btw, that last box I made with the ego shorted. I stuck some tweezer in there like a derpasaur and a little puff of smoke came out lol.

Hmm I don't know about programming chips and all that lol I have a basic understanding of that stuff

But as for your ego I shorted one of mine carelessly with the +wire loss it touched something and smoke started coming out for half second. It still works tho does yours?

Nope . After shorting, it kept firing continuously. So I had to rip it all out.

Ahh that sucks sorry to hear. Wonder if the kick is salvagable?
