The latest mod with an internal battery I got has a usb c connector and says it charges at 1 amp. The usb in my truck I'm pretty sure puts out 500ma but I have an adapter for the cig. lighter that will put out 2.4 amp max. I have a couple chargers at home for cell phones and they are like an amp and 1.2 amp. Doesn't the mod limit the current to the battery so as not to apply too much current to the battery so the 2.4 amp usb would still be O.K.? I would think if it were an issue they would have to supply a dedicated adapter.

Yes, the charging circuit in the mod itself will limit current (and voltage) and should stop charging when the battery is full. If it didn't, you would end up charging the battery to the full 5V that USB supplies and bad thing could happen.

As a general rule with USB charging: Use any USB power source that's rated as high or higher than the load. If your mod says it will charge at 1 amp, then you should use a USB power source capable of delivering at least that much.
