What do you guys do. do you use a fixed regulator for 3.3v ( what one do you use ) or do you use a variable regulator ( what one) or is it even worth bothering with a reg at all?. just getting a feel for this I am happy enough with the vapor production and taste from a 3.3v geo battery using a 1.8ohm coil , so now I want to make my own mod. Thanks in advance. Spose what I should do it just to see for myself what difference it will make if I just try a non regulated battery as it will only be around 1-2 watts difference over the voltage range or is 1-2 watts a lot ?

1-2 watts may not make much of a difference. But for the most part, no regulators are used to buck (drop) the voltage down from 3.7 (actually ~4.2V right off the charger). This is the simplest mod to make and the best to start with. In fact, Mad Vapes usually has 3.7V box mod kits in stock - everything you need, you just put it together.
