Using a 510 carto as a drip atty?

Okay so I see a bunch of videos on people turning 808 cartos into dripping attys but there isnt a darn thing about using a 510. Is there a reason behind this?

Now I have only ever used cartos in my DCT tanks so I have no experience with them, but I do have a box of 5 that have been sitting on my desk for a year. I just happened to have blown my last 306 atty and before I go buy some more I was wondering if I could some how mod the cartos I have.

Anyone see a reason why I couldnt do this?

I think the reason they use the 808s is because they use the horizontal coil cartos.
If your 510 has horizontal coil, there's no reason I can think of not to try it. I would
recommend a drip shield, especially if you're using an automatic battery.

Bummer. Do you have a Vivi Nova? Some forumers are starting to use those to
drip.

I feel your pain. I was drippin' a while ago and my battery decided it need to charge.
So I put my atty on a different batt that works fine, and the atty doesn't want to
connect right to it, even after I moved the post up on the batt.

Now I'm using a mop head clearo, which is great until the other batt comes back
to life. If you have other old cartos laying around, you can boil them and dry them
and they may come back to life.
