Before someone says it, no, I don't plan to rebuild a dual coil into a single coil. :)

I'm not totally sold on the dual coils and I have Mini Protank 3s (IMO, they're overkill in these), T3Ds, & Evod 2 w/ glass that I'd like to try to use with a single coil head instead. As the area of the dual coil (below the rubber chimney grommet) is taller than their single coil counter parts, how can I use a single coil successfully? Do you just use a 2nd rubber grommet to fill in the gap, or will another vendor's coil fit (and work!) in that larger space?

Thanks!

The last time I tried it, it was gurgle hell. Now I'm trying it again to see if it's any better and in the past 20 minutes or so, no gurgling so far. Only time will tell however. But yeah, I just took the small white grommet off one of my expired dual coil heads and put it on the chimney of the single coil head and it appears so far that it's made the proper seal. Won't proclaim it as 100% steady yet until I've vaped on it for a couple hours to make sure.

By the way I'm doing this using the kangertech single head coil with the added grommet in my AeroTank mega so that could make a difference maybe. Not really sure.

Well, it only lasted me about 2 hours and I had to go back to the dual coil. I'm not sure whether I simply got a bum single coil head or if my vaping style just works better with the dual coil, but using the single coil for the past 2 hours and all of a sudden now I'm getting vape that tastes like dirty wet carpet. So, not sure if it simply can't keep up with my vaping style, or the coil has already gone bad, but I've gone back and put the dual coil head back into it and vaping pleasure again.

I'll say this though... I get a lot more "snap crackle pop" out of the dual coil. In fact I've gotten no snap crackle pop out of the single head coil in the past 2 hours but immediately the dual coil is doing the normal snap crackle pop that I'm accustomed to with the dual head coils on my AeroTank mega.
YMMV.
