Using Cig look a like usb charger for my Ego Twist (Is this O.K??)

I do have a regular joyetek rapid usb charger and it is output at 4.2V 420 mA and I also have a small cig look a like usb charger with specs at 5V 120mA.I usually use it to charge my smoktek mini 400 Mah battery and I did notice it does charge it pretty quickly using a wall adaptor.I decided to use it today for my 1000mah ego twist as well after it completely lost charge and It was only plugged in for about 45 min and I can already tell it has a good long charge.But in the end is it safe to use???It charges quick which is strange.

The 120mA charger should take a while for the eGo but is safe. The 420mA charger will fry small cig style batts.

edit: the very first eGo's were charged on a 510 charger but they had an adapter for it, so go with what Rickajho says....

No, it is NOT SAFE! Specifically, if that cig-a-like charger is actually putting out 5 volts, not the 4.2 volts that a standard eGo charger puts out. You may have got a surprisingly fast charge on your eGo battery, but that's because you charged it at over voltage. Keep doing that and one of two things will happen: 1.) The protection circuit in the eGo battery will kick in (basically it will fry it) rendering the eGo battery useless. Or 2.) The protection circuit doesn't work, and you end up with an overcharged and exploding battery.

NEVER go out of specs for what the manufacturer of a battery tells you to use for a charger. eGo batteries are designed to use 4.2 volt output chargers - period.
