I'm looking to switch to cotton wicks and had a couple questions. One, where do you guys recommend getting it? Two, how do you prepare it? Three, is there any special way to use it to when making your coil?
Just buy some white or natural color pure cotton yarn. Cut off a few feet and boil it for about 20 minutes to remove impurities, then dry. Wrap your coil around something like a nail, then thread the wick through. Never fire your coil unless saturated in juice, or it will burn. That's about it.

You can use 1 tooth pick or go get a needle set from walmart that has different sizes. The brand or yarn I used was surgars and cream or berries and cream something like that from walmart. It's 100% cotton. What I found worked best for me was 2-4 wicks of the yarn. The yarn has 4 strands that is twisted. You can twist it even smaller just use your nail and twist from one and to the other. This makes its a lot easier to thread too. This was you can fit 2-4 wicks in the same coil. When I used 1 wick I did not get as good flavor and vapor as multiple wicks.
also used "peaches and cream " yarn from wallymart, after boiling and drying cut in 2 or 3 feet pieces and put some glue on the one end only about 3/4 inch and massaged that into a point till dry
prewound the coil on a drillbit installed that and fired a couple of times till just red.
now feed the yarn from the bottom throw hole pull extra slack through and leave a little longer continue to feed though coil and other hole back into tank. I had 4 holes available so I done this again . so ended up with 4 coils installed with ( 2 through the coil )
remember also the cotton yarn will swell a bit.
it worked great vicking was great and flavor to never had a dry hit . pre wet and let all soack a wile ...I am happi with cotton rolf
I used 100% natural cotton from michaels, wrapped on a drill bit and fed through the yarn. Let soak for 30-60 minutes and vape away. I use 100% vg undiluted and have never had a dry hit, wicks like a champ
