between here and there
I would look at the website that you bought the triton from. Sometime in the description it will tell you. Better yet, most vendors have a place to send them an email for questions. But for the most part, it is always better to use the equipment that is recommend for the devices. If you are buying from the same vendor as you bought the triton from, look at what they recommend for the vision spinner. If it is the same thing, then there ya go.
:)

edit. Just looked up both devices. 1 is a 510 thread (spinner) and it doesn't say what the triton is. I would buy what the vendor selling them advises.

Your adapter's output (expressed in both volts and milliamps or amps) must match the input requirements of your charger dongle.

If you don't know or cannot determine the specs of the two devices, don't use them together. You could damage the charger, the battery, or both. It could also cause a fire.

ok i'm just talking about the usb part.

I totally understand that the part that plugs into the battery is best to use the one for that brand.

but i'm thinking if they all end with the usb can be plugged into a computer....
then would any brands usb adapter work? just the part that the usb plugs into that goes in the wall.

not the part the battery is screwed into. but the part that is plugged into the wall.

is that any clearer?

Not all wall adapters are the same. Some put out more current than the charger dongle can handle.

Look at the specs for the wall adapter you have. It should be on a label on, or printed on the adapter itself. It should say what the device puts out, and it should be expressed in both volts and amps (or milliamps). If the voltage is 5.0 and the amperage is 1 amp or 1000 milliamps, then it will work with the spinner charger dongle, which is a standard Ego charger, which has the same 5.0 volt input requirement.

Another option to consider is a multi-USB port wall adapter. Duracell makes several high quality multi-port adapters. I have one with two ports and use it to charge two Ego batteries at the same time. I got mine at Office Depot in June when my cheap wart died.

here is a link to what i have and am questioning about.....

Mini Wall Charger | Halo Cigs

That link showed it had an output of 500 mA and 5 volts (which is USB standard voltage). So as long as the charger's input is less the 500 mA it's fine.

That's for USA power (110 volts A/C to USB converter).

So see what the sticker on the charger says for INPUT.

output 5v 500mA

so i'm good right?

input...240v

No no no no.

Let's try again.

Are you in the USA? That must be input voltage on the A/C to USB adapter. Is it 120/240 (both 110 USA and 240 UK)?

There's no charger that would take 240 as input. So that must be the wall adapter.

Well, guess she either blew up or it worked. ;)

The 240 V input doesn't make sense for a charger, only for the wall adapter. And then, it's not USA standard so if she plugs it into a 110 volt USA outlet it won't work. But I assume she's matched household current.

And I don't know of a trickle charger that needs more than 500 mA as input.

I'm pretty sure that there's a stepdown transformer in that device that recognizes the voltage it's receiving and adjusts itself accordingly. I have wall warts that say they'll take 100 - 240v. As long as they're 60Hz, the stepdown (or step up) circuitry does its thing.

The Vision Spinner is eGo threaded, the Triton is vGo threaded; they're (mostly) not interchangeable, regardless of the charging volts/amps.

The Triton charger is 808 threaded, the Vision charger is 510 threaded.

Now, if you meant "Volt Spinner", that's a whole different story.

The Triton charger is a standard 4.2v 420 mAh charging spec.
The Volt Spinner charger appears to be the same. (not confirmed)
Both are 808 threaded.
