Hi, I am just wondering if it is ok to use the flavors you will find in the home baking section in wallmart or other supermarkets?

I have some strawberry flavor which is made from "natural flavors" which I tested out with my menthol e-juice... it turns out I got a slightly better vapor and the taste is like strawberry icecream!

Although it works in my tester, would it be fine to use in the long run, particularly if I want to start making my own juice?

Thanks,

Chiller.

Here's my :2c: worth! I'm really new to mixing too. I went into the local kroger and checked out vanilla extract. The cheapest imitation vanilla flavoring they had contained propolyene glycol so I figured why not? It also contains sugar and some other ingredients. I've used it twice and have also ordered TFA vanilla. I must admit the the TFA seems better. So far I use the inexpensive flavoring in additon to the TWO other vanilla flavors I have.

I would recommend using flavours from people like Flavourart which are generally deemed safe for vaping. I'm sure any water-based flavourings are fine, but there can be flavours which have been produced as essential oils (IE oil based) I wouldn't use these.

Anything water based is generally OK. But look on e-cig websites, they generally have a DIY section where you can get all manner of flavours which are all water bases and safe for mixing.

My very first DIY was made from Mcormicks extracts. I had Strawberry, Banana and Coconut. It turned out pretty tasty. You do need to watch the ingredients and look for any containing oils which would not be good to use.

The grocery store stuff is more expensive in the long run because it is not as condensed as the flavors that we get from FA, TPA, etc so it we have to use more of it.
