Hi

I was wondering if you can use the HH .357 Hybrid Atomizers on a E-Power 14650. I am pretty sure you can but just wanted to ask to make sure.

Also, if you can, will they work fine with the stock 14650 batteries? or do you need to use a better battery like the IMR "High-Drain" 14650 batteries. Will the stock batteries make it short out?

I am going to buy some IMR High-Drain batteries probably next week but was wondering if I could use the HH .357 Hybrid Attys with the stock batteries till then.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

ok thanks for the info.

Also I was wondering, ive heard to use "protected" batteries like how the stock ones are, but the IMR High Drains that I have seen are NOT protected. Is that okay? Or is there somewhere you can buy High-Drain Protected Batteries? If not, just where would you recommend to buy the 14650 High-Drain Batteries?

Thanks!

Well the standing mantra in the comunity is to run protected batteries, however some may not agree for a miriad of reasons ranging from price to bravery/ignorance its always a safer bet to start out with protected cell's that have a few internal safeguards and save experimentation with un-protected cells for later down the road after much research and experimentation has been done...

because the reality of it is, luckily there are no reports (that ive seen) about fatalities caused by exploding Lipo/Lion cell's in the PV community however, i know in the Radio Controled modlers comunity several have suffered severe life changing injuries.. i've personally had Lion laptop batterys explode with enough force to launch a 12lb laptop off a table and break light-fixtures.. imagine this much force in the palm of your hand...

now. let it be known. a lithium-X battery can be handled completely safely without internal safeguards if charged and discharged correctly and will last a lifetime and never harm a soul, however they are far less forgiving then their Nicad and NimH kin, and they have quite the temper when they get agitated :)

So to boil it all down, if this is your first-ish mod, go with protected batteries, the protection circuitry will not reduce performance and theres only very very specific high performance situations where an un-protected battery COULD outperform its protected kin.

As for where to get, sorry im not much help there.. i might recomend a well known electronics supply house like Digikey or Mouser electronics. and for the record i've never had problems with Sanyo or Panasonic Batterys, and i've been building custom battery packs for Telecomunications industry for years.

I recommend waiting until you try them as I think you'll be satisfied with what you have. The time between recharge will be shortened but they should perform just fine and the price on replacement 14650s isn't bad at all.

I just received some of these to use in my E-Power(when it arrives) IMR 14650 HIGH DRAIN BATTERY ...hope they work OK and the world doesn't end...I believe they are known as "safe chemistry" batts...don't actually know that for sure...anyone have any idea how long these would run with 1.7-2ohm cartos, vaping 5ml/day...........

Protected batteries are usually only needed if you are "stacking" batteries for higher voltage. If you're using a single 18650 or 14500 battery, a "meltdown" is already unlikely and I would assume that the E-power circuits would provide an additional failsafe. However, with the lower resistance of the HH.357 hybrid atomizer, you should probably use a "high drain" battery to ensure that the battery can keep up with the additional amperage that low resistance atomizers will draw.

ETA: Did you mean 18650 or 14500?

(crying) my E-Power from CCV is lost in the mail...should been here yesterday but tracking actually show it LOST(crying)...CCV is trying to track it, I am trying to track it and USPS is clueless...my all day vape right now is a tobacco...I got, from BlueMistVaping.com, their Vanilla Tobacco and Caramel Tobacco and mixed 'em 50/50...just slightly sweet, with tastes of both Van and Cara on the inhale and a nice "smokey" tobacco after taste on the exhale...no grassy or nutty tastes............

ugh Im sorry it I hope they find it. Thats a total pain.

I did get a sample pack from BlueMist and did get Vanilla Tabacco but havent tried it yet. With my sample pack the gave me a free 3ml bottle of the honeysuckle tobacco and its pretty good actually. Its def sweet and I cant vape it for an extended period of time but its def not bad.

The free 30ml bottle that you get from CCV with the EPower is pretty good too. I got the Black & Mild and it tastes good. Im letting it steep some and Im hoping I like it even more.

I'll tell you as I tell my husband very frequently when he pitches a fit over my penny pinching...

"I'm not cheap; I'm thrifty."

He usually responds with, "Yeah and you can pinch a penny til it squeals!"

ROFLMAO!
