18650 Li-Ions hot off the charger will typically put out more than their rated voltage, but only briefly. They'll settle to their 3.7V norm, then slowly sag into the sunset.

1.5Ω should work fine (3.7V + 1.5Ω = 9.12W). And yes, the Roughstack is unregulated; essentially, it's a battery holder with a switch. Whatever your battery puts out, that's what you get.

Thank you! I have "normal" RoughStack instead of Maxi and therefore 18350 batteries but if i understood correctly it doesn't change the fact that 1.5Ω should work fine with it..?
