So, I have some TPA tobacco extract which the site says to dilute with water. (doesn't say how much) I have read (on ECF) to dilute 2 drops of TE in 5ml of PG. Question is, should I use water or PG? I would think PG because it would mix better with e-liquids. Also, after it's diluted, at what percentage should it be used in e-liquid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

O.K., no responses so, this is what I did. I added 2 pipette drops of TE to 5ml of PG. After shaking the S*** out of it, then letting it sit for 12 hours, there are still particles of TE in the bottle. Maybe I should have heated the PG first. I'm going to let it steep for at least 2 days and will report back. Hopefully someone out there might find this info useful. My ultimate plan is to use this mix as a tobacco base for e-liquid.

Sorry for the spelling of "extract" in the title.

Did you heat the PG at all? I have some TE on the way, and was planning on mixing it in PG too, so I'm glad this thread came up.

I have used TE and mixed it with 4 drops per 10 ml PG. Yes, it will have floaties in it, even after over a month. Maybe that's why it says to dilute with water. It vapes fine, even with the floaties.

I ran hot water over the bottle after I put the TE in. Next time I will try to heat the PG first. I will probably contact TPA and ask about diluting the TE with water, although I can't see adding too much water to a e-liquid and getting it to vape.

Ignorance is bliss!

Just made some TA this past week--

Tobacco (BLOND) Absolute

Submerge 1.5ml vial of TA in hot water, let stand min. 2 minutes.
Pour heated TA into 60ml of PGA. Shake vigorously till well blended.
Let TA/PGA blend steep in hot water 15 minutes. Shake occasionally.
Add 60ml of PG to TA/PGA blend. Shake till well blended. Set overnight.
Filter TA blend through a tea bag (3x, using a clean tea bag each time). Loss of liquid may occur while handling, ensure to measure volume before adding additional ingredients.
Add 30% Ethyl Maltol, use as desired.

My results YMMV:dry, woodsy, lightly sweet Tobacco flavor, not so pungent-- easily vaped on its own or added to any mix. Even filtered 3x there still is some, if somewhat minuscule bits of TA that'll rise to the top & ring the bottle...

I'm sure filtering the TE would rid it of particles but I haven't had any issues with it as is. None of the particles have passed thru to my mixes. They seem to float up and away from the dropper head. Linda suggests mixing the TE with water for the best dissolution but I prefer a PG mix to keep viscosity at 70/30 PG/VG.

After 3 days there are less particles and like Lyndagayle says mixing with PG is probably the best way. I have not tried the mix yet but will do so in the next couple of days. I plan on starting with 5% 70/30 PG/VG. I will try the tea bag method with the next batch if the particles are an issue. Since its only been 1 month since analogs, I'm still craving the tobbaco smell and flavor. My favorite vape so far has been chocolate, creme dementhe and a little bit of m-type concentrate from TPA. On the plus side, I've cut my chocolate eating in half! lol
