When I connect a SI Auto X2 battery whose charge has been used up to a USB charger (2 amp, 5V from my iPad) I can't vape right away. I have to wait until the battery is charged. Is this normal? I get the feeling that the current flowing into the battery is being used for charging exclusively rather being available to heat the attached T3.

Thanks,
Joe

correct....it is not a true passthrough...just has the passthrough function as long as there is some charge.

Correct. If you plug in a battery that had shut down due to being discharged you have to let it charge for a little bit before you can use it as a passthru. When you push the button it quits charging and lets you use it then goes back to charging when released

How long a period does it take to exhaust ? It could be your using charge faster then passthru can replenish it. I vape at a rate of about 225 mah per hour. So if my 900 takes 7.5 hours to charge then it's charing at a rate of 120mah per hour. Not sure how accurate this is but that would give me a net discharge of 105 mah per hour even though its plugged in since I'm vaping at a higher rate then charger can charge. Only way around that is to get an actual passthru to use while your x2 is actually charging. SI has those on the site. Not positive but I think they run 19.95.

it is normal if you did not let it recharge enough before using it in passthorugh mode..about 20 min I would say....or if you have it plugged in to an adapter under 1.5a

Thanks. I also find that if I'm chain vaping the automatic battery will exhaust despite being hooked up to the charger. Is this also normal?

I getting the feeling that something is actually wrong with this X2 battery. I let is charge for 12 hours yet the blue led never went out. I then used it as a passthrough and shortly thereafter it stopped working with my Nano. I then removed the USB cable, inhaled and found that the base was blinking blue. Is this the sign of a failing battery?

Thanks,
