I got some Proplene Glycol on Ebay 8oz 100% PROPYLENE GLYCOL USP E-liquid E Liquid - eBay (item 220391614934 end time Sep-03-09 19:29:12 PDT) then I noticed it says- Not for Internal Use on the bottle.

I got the correct proplene glycol didn't I? It says for e-cigarettes.

Holy Hanable! I need to start selling PG on Ebay, I got a gallon (128oz) for 21.00

If I sold it for 6.99 + 5.49 shipping = (12.48 total) times 16 (16 * 8 = 128oz, 1 gal) Would be 199.68 if you bought a gal at those prices.
Not saying you got ripped off, but if you are in it for the long haul buy a gal from here:
The Chemistry Store.com Inc: Products & Services
for 20.58, or go to a tractor supply company if you have one in your area that way there is no shipping involved.
But as Sun said yes you got the right stuff.
I hope this helps,
Dan

At the risk of getting laughed out of the forum, I just read my Lorann candy flavorings...they ALL have PG in them and everyone of them says to keep out of reach of children...but they are FDA approved LOL

I assume since they contain PG and specify to keep away from children then children shouldn't eat candy???

Theres PG in alot more than candy...... and DEG too. You know, the nasty anti-freeze ingredient they keep repeating.... its a biproduct of making PG, so its allowed to a certain amount.

BTW Thank you for your efforts on this forum, I have learned A LOT!

I found a bottle of propylene glycol at my Meijer superstore; it said 99.4% PG. I would've gotten it but it didn't say what the other .6% was. It was on the shelf with other skin treatments like iodine, said it was to treat skin conditions. Since I intend to vape it I would like to know what the other ingredient might be.

If it says USP, its good.

I bought a gallon at Tractor supply the other day for $21 I think. It does say 100% Propylene Glycol and does have a USP on the label.

Now I need some DIY advice. I bought a 30ml bottle of 24mg juice. I cut it with the PG as 50/50. The preliminary cart I vaped with this had very little vapor. Shouldn't it yield the same amount as any uncut PG juice? I shouldn't have to add Glycerin to get a "normal" amount of vapor should I?

I'd assume they say keep away from children because a lot of those flavorings contain alcohol and it's easier to just have a standard warning on all the bottles than to make one's with alcohol have the warning and those without not have the warning. PG is in lots of things that kids eat. Also in things that adults use...found out the 2 main ingredients of KY Liquid are PG and Glycerin :).

I had to order some PG from the pharmacy. All the Tractor Supply shops in my area are out... I could order it from them, but they are kind of a hassle. Anyways, this is what I got today from the pharmacy...

http://paddocklabs.com/forms/msds/Propylene Glycol.pdf
PRODUCT NAME: Propylene Glycol, USP
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW: Material is a clear, colorless solution.

Symptoms of Overexposure by Route of Exposure:

Inhalation: No adverse effects via Inhalation.

$9 for 1 pint. Not a good price but not bad. Worth it to me because I won't use a gallon and it was right down the street. Good to know the company that makes it says there are no adverse effects from inhaling it.

Paddock Laboratories, Inc.
3940 Quebec Avenue North
Minneapolis, MN 55427
Tel: (763) 546-4676
Emergency Assistance:
CHEMTREC® (24-hour) 1-800-424-9300

Maybe I could get a better price ordering from them directly. For now the pharmacy works just fine. I told them I was going to use it for food. I think next time if they ask I'll tell them its for an personal vaporizer.... I'll have to print out that sheet if they don't already have it, so they can clearly see its OK to inhale. But really they don't care as soon as they realize its over the counter stuff.

Personally, I'd use it to keep the kids out of the candy, LOL

I ordered a gal from the chemistry store, Scubabatdan's link. I've checked three Tractor Supply stores in the area, and they all say they don't carry it. You'd think they would have plenty, I live in farm country.
