Hello everyone!

I just started vaping around 2 weeks ago and I'm really infatuated with it! I started with an Ego style battery and a T3 tank. I was not happy with that tank because the wick system seemed hit or miss. I would get dry/burned hits that made my throat raspy, even though I would have a near full tank and I wasn't chain vaping. The wicks just seem too small, and slightly "hidden" by the gaskets. I also made sure to regularly change the heads, probably more so than necessary. So I moved on up :D I bought a Tesla on Friday, as well as a DCT cartomizer tank along with a V-Core 2.0 as I liked the wick system... nice long wicks, etc. I wasn't sure I would like a cartomizer so that's why I purchased a backup tank.

So far, I really love the DCT. No dry hits. No burning weird hits. Every hit consistent. It's at 1.5 ohm and I'm running it on 3.7 volts. Beautiful. But, I am having real issues with the V-Core that has nothing to do with the wick system. No dry hits, consistent pulls, good vapor excellent flavor coming through. The problem is that I'm having a terrible time getting the bottom tank off of it. I took it in the same day I bought it from the B&M shop and had to have the clerk there use a needle nose plier to hold and and twist the tank off. I filled it, took it home and had a great time with it. I was able to get the bottom tank off and refill it, but now... it just won't come off again. I've tried my own needle nose pliers to get it off... wrecked my finger from twisting, I'm know I'm twisting in the correct direction as I watched the clerk as well as looking it up on Youtube.

I'm sorry to go on for so long, but if anyone has any suggestions for me, or had the same troubles, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks in advance!

Carla

Dry hits on the T3 bottom coil is almost always that the connection to the batt isn't tight. Tightening down the knurled part onto the battery will fix that. And it could be that either the battery or T3's center posts need to be pulled up. The key word on both is do it carefully - just nudging it up, not prying it up.

It's also possible to get dry hits if you are holding the unit above horizontal - not common but how some people like to vape... where the ejuice is toward the mouthpiece and not covering the wicking area.

Burned hits from the T3 is from having the 1.8ohm coil using light flavors - fruit, berries, vanilla, etc. The 2.2 ohm coil is better for the lighter flavors.
