Hi, folks.

Considering the provari, but I have a few questions on how to set it up. I'm hoping you could spend a few minutes of your time to answer some of the questions that I have.

My experience: I only have experience with the ego twist. I use T2 tanks. I'm sick of the burnt taste. These replacement atomizers simply have design problems with not drawing liquid properly, is what I've chalked it up to.

So here goes:

1: Looking at the z-atty-pro which seems to be a tank with a repairable atomizer. Is this thing over kill?

2: I also see the DCT cartomizer tank. Now, with this thing, do you put the cartomizer inside the tank? And that's how the "cartomizer" gets filled? I have no experience with cartomizers, but what will I notice to be the difference between a wick system and a cart system?

1: Depends. Is having a tank fed atomizer that could last you years overkill? Do you enjoy learning new craft skills like making wicks and coils? There are many fans of the genesis style rebuildables and there are more than a few who don't like them.

2: Yes, a cartomizer tank is a tank that surrounds and feeds the cartomizer. Yes there is a difference and it is noticeable. How it works for you, only you can answer. I don't like cartomizers and I don't like tanks, so taking my word for it would be silly. I only know this because I've tried them and evaluated them to decide they don't work for me. (But I think T-type attys are even worse.)

1) Over-kill. That depends on what you mean by over-kill. If you are talking about putting it on an ego then yes, that's over-kill. If you want an atty that could quite possibly last you a life time then no, it's not over-kill. There is a big learning curving with the rebuildable's but most pick it up quit quickly, others give up because of all the fiddling that is usually part of RBAs. The good things is that these are so popular that if you decide you don't like it you can sell if for what you paid for it or close to. They hold their resale value.

2) I'm not a big fan DCT but I love carto tanks. A few good ones are Phiniac (best), IBTanked, elegance/bella tanks. You prefill the carto then punch 2 holes near the connector end just above the bottom connector with a carto punch and a filler tool. The filler tool is not necessary but it will save your orings and makes it easier to insert the carto into the tank. You can punch the holes first and then fill. It's just a matter of preference. Tanks are great because they hold a lot of juice and keep the filler material wet all the time so there are no dry hits. Once you fill the carto the juice is automatically fed into the carto via the holes you punched. You don't have to do anything more until it's time to fill again.

I prefer Phiniac tanks because the never leak, are easy to fill with the filler tool which you can get on their site, they are made with Pyrex glass so you can use any juice without worry of fogging or cracking the tank. The tanks are nearly indestructible and you can have them decorated with some really cool designs that are sandblasted into the glass. I like the Bella tanks also but they are made of plastic so they can fog or crack and the plastic can leach into the juice. I've never noticed this with mine but other say they have with any plastic tank.
