I got the V2Cig recently. My first ecig. I really like it but now I'm concerned. There are no postings or listings on the V2Cig. did I buy a ....... / orphan design. how can I tell what style (model number) Carto I have for certain. Im already refilling the ones I purchased. and I also know Cigo2 cartomizers fit it.
Can anyone enlighten me on these concerns?

Thankyou in advance

V2cigs is an overpriced rebrand of KR808D-1. They have 100% markup on the spare parts. So KR808D-1 is popular, but jacked up price rebranders are not so popular (not to mention lying or stupid - KR808D-1 is not a 4.2v device. All KR808D-1 are 4.2 fresh off the charger and quickly drop to their plateau of 3.7v which is still the best voltage in a slim ecig but NOT called 4.2 volt - it is called 3.7v).

Yes Cig2o and Cig2go are supposedly also KR808D-1 threaded

As are the more popular model Vapor4Life, and the new style SmokelessImage Volt, Bloogplanet Maxxfusion, Halocigs G6 (and they all have prefilled and blank cartomizers and juices, and most of them have manual batteries which is what most people use if they are refilling cartomizers (manuals are safer from being damaged or killed by juice leaks and also make it easier to get a good hit)

Ya theres not to much information on here about the V2 but i found it it to be a good product i bought the ultimate kit a month ago OP and am very happy. Only problem is there cartos dont last as long as they say they do. I read another post saying they will replace your battery up to five times if it dies, not sure if true but that definetly makes it worth it for me if it's overpriced. Upon going to their website i fouind their batteries are a kr808d1 style you will find alot of options from other vendors with this style of battery.

It's true if you order filled carts from them every 90 days... If you don't, your warranty is void...

I started off with them too, and quickly moved on to better stuff. My passthru died shortly after I got it, and they did, in fact, replace it quickly and efficiently. Can't say too much bad about them except they're expensive, and I think some of their pre-filled carts sit around because I had a rather large number of duds... Using eGo tanks on a Provari or eGo USB these days, and couldn't be happier...

I started off with V2's they're pricey but they're pretty good to deal with. I don't know why but I keep dropping my manual V2 and it keeps working like a champ, it's my go to backup and out and about vape pal. Fond memories in them V2's, one day I may have to frame them and hang them next to my last pack of smokes one day.

Yes, V2's are expensive, and alot of folks don't like them or their type on this forum, because of that and their "false advertising". Nor are they a supplier here on this forum. The peeps on this forum tend to stay w/the registered suppliers. Personally that was my first e-cig and they got me to quit smoking, so I will always defend them. Saying that, I have since moved on but there are peeps that love them, love their carto's, love their CS and they are enough for them. If they can afford it, more power to them... I do like their warranty, and will order some blanks every 90 days. That is a good warranty, especially for auto's and filling your own, as you will get juice inside your batt. It's a personal preference.

You know, aside from the whole overpriced part, you're lucky to have stumbled upon a pretty universal battery. I too made the mistake of initially buying an overpriced 808D-1 kit: the Cig2o starter kit itself. It was $80, and 5 packs of cartos were $15... Ridiculous! You can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to find that at least it had 808D-1 threads, and that I could buy much cheaper cartos and batteries online.

I was in another city recently (Salt Lake) and walked into a couple smoke shops looking for 808D-1 cartos because I just wasn't in the mood to refill... By the time I got to the THIRD shop, the clerk informed me, "You really shouldn't buy e-cigarettes online because then you can't buy accessories in stores," (and he was selling all overpriced, cheapo off-brands with brand specific accessories)... Yeah, nice try pal!

So it's lucky you ended up with a universal enough battery like the KR808D-1... Especially with all the scary store-bought e-cigs out there. I echo the suggestion of Vapor4Life (v4l.com) for batteries, accessories, juices, and cartos at a great price. Their customer service is pretty awesome too. Welcome and happy vaping!

You don't argue with the dormouse re. kr808's, unless you like to be wrong.

V2 was my first e-cig. they misrepresented the product, they didn't honor their waranty, and they overchared by 100%. But at least they did get me to this forum. If you are a noob, buy an EGO, RIVA, Bloog, go to V4L. But don't spend your money with these carpetbaggers.

Hy 1thepapa and Welcome to the best e-cig forum on the net.

I am a V2cig starter also. I can honestly say I have been quite happy with the V2 as a starter kit. I ordered the Traveler Kit as it provided a very well rounded package to fit my needs. I have been using this kit for about 5 weeks now with no problems. I purchased V2 based on their warranty... time will only tell if I need it.

I have moved on to different pv's mainly because I like mods... anything and everything I have usually gets modded in some shape or form...lol, but still use my V2 alot depending on what my activities for the day will be. My Provari just doesn't go everywhere!

As others have stated, the V2 uses the 808d-1 style attys and cartos... you can find them all over the net. Check some of the sites others have posted for a great selection of options. Another option not mentioned yet I believe would be to get an adapter for 808 batts to 510 cartos and try some of them. I found this to be a great option as I do like the 510 cartos much better.

Anyway... Welcome to the world of Vaping! You will love the ppl here... lots of great info and help!

Keep on Vaping!

Yup, we are too, v2 starters that is. They are a business and as such want to make money just as much as you and I. I am about to find out about the warranty thing though, as my charger flipped out at work today, the batt, and the charger were blinking rapidly back and forth and getting super hot. I don't think the charger is damaged, but pretty sure the batt is dead and gone, get like five puffs on it before it starts blinking at me to re-charge it...

I will say that I am not dissappointed in their service thus far. Super fast at filling and shipping orders. But after a couple of weeks with them and a couple days on this forum, I have decided to "upgrade" as well.
